Hi all,

I have been a member if CR for 6 years now and have loved anime in some shape or form for may be 20 years (in my 30ies) & something just occurred to me that in all this time I have watched every single Anime movie (except Ghost in the Shell) on a TV set and 90% of those by myself

I know I have missed out on a few screenings but once missed that's IT.

I long to watch the the Classics and new skool stuff ON THE BIG SCREEN.

Does anyone know of a cinema or film club in London screening anime? if not, would you support one?

Most of the time that I have seen anime movies on the big screen was at Otakon, where they have BIG, BIG theater screens. The only other time I saw one was a special showing of a movie that ended up being an advertisement for a video game

I have a reasonable set up but feel like I'm missing out on the cinema experience.....social aspect/sound volume (I have fussy neighbours)/seeing the movies the way they were meant to watched.

Isn't Manga Entertainment one of the biggest anime distributes in the UK, I know they are over here in Sweden.

Anyhow, maybe you could contact them and ask if they could do it. If you don't then go to a convention where there's going to be movies shows 24/7

You know that can get extremely expensive especially if he wants to get the sound system equal or better then a cinema...

Biscuit got notes :)

Conventions and festivals do not always screen what we want to watch but better than nothing.

I might get onto Manga Ent' though. Good idea

If you contact your local conventions then the chances of them screening something you like increase a LOT. I've used this tacice multiple times

Supposedly there were some London cinema's screening the live action version of Black Butler, but I don't know which ones. I don't live in London so I'm rather out of touch with what goes on there now.
