Post Reply Recommend me an anime!

I want to watch something a little more mature but still with action. I've seen and would like to see another like these titles:

1. Fullmetal Alchemist
2. Puella Magi Madoka Magica
3. Code Geass

I would prefer action titles that don't have a mindless plot. Also the recommendation should be on Crunchyroll or optionally at least Netflix. Those are the only streaming services I have access to at the moment.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, i would recommend:

Ghost in a Shell: Classic, action heavy, interesting albeit slightly convoluted plot-line that follows two major arcs that aren't well distinguished, so sometimes it can be confusing differentiating the two. I watched it on Netflix about four years ago or so... Not sure if it's still available there.
or
Shin Sekai Yori: Get past the first three or four episodes of it building up the world (sometimes awkwardly) and it becomes an amazing story.
or
Kino's Journey: Interesting individual stories, with the plot of random travel, and thus not really one at all, however the individual episodes are quite charming and each has a different setting, moral, and method of persuasion. Not purely action, but not without it either. Don't believe this one is on Crunchyroll or Netflix though....

All of them are fairly mature, even Shin Sekai Yori, considering the main characters start out young and progress to adulthood. All have action, Ghost in a Shell definitely the heaviest of the three.

Samurai Champloo (Netflix): Great action and characters, a lot of interesting moments, plot is pretty good.

Attack on Titan (CR and Netflix): Solid action/adventure, solid world-building; dialogue is a little overly melodramatic.

Eureka Seven (Netflix): Great characters and setting, mecha action, plot is at times brilliant (though it can out-think itself too much sometimes). Starts off looking like a typical shounen series, but as it goes along it gets a lot darker and deeper.

Angel Beats (CR): A bit slower moving, but some very good characters and story-telling here, and the action sequences are very well done.

More mature with action...there's a ton out there, some titles are old. I'd look into the Kite series, Jin-Roh, if you are into robots, I thought Aldnoah Zero was a serious show with bits of comedy

Fairy tail (Funny with decent action)
Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka (GREAT new anime one of my favorites this season)
