Yeah I had to read portions of it for a course on the Holocaust and can honestly say Hitler was batshit insane.

How he managed to carry on his illusions for almost 20 years is beyond me. Germany had to be a special kind of stupid to fall for his words, even if they were in a rough time.

They were: German anti-Semitism (they were still a Catholic country, in places) was rooted all the way down to King Ludwig's friendship with Richard Wagner, and Wagner's politically-allegorial opera plots, like Die Meistersingers, could have been written by the Klan. Which is one reason the Nazis adopted Siegfried and Tannhauser as their spiritual "theme song" (and not just nationalistic images of the blonde muscular hero with the sword coming to the rescue).
What got Italy and Japan on his side was his promise to push back "the Bolsheviks" (ie., Communist Russia), and when the obvious observation was made that Karl Marx was Jewish...well, there ya go!

Post-WWI economy was tough all over Europe, especially in Germany who had been forced by treaty to accept blame for starting WWI, and between finding a 1% to blame for economic troubles, and noticing the usual demographics among those who were handling the financial reconstruction on the world stage, it just made it too perfect a frustration-button.
Before WWII, even some American and British businessmen would express admiration for the guy who was "getting Germany back on its industrial feet again", although after a few drinks loosened their conversation, they might let slip that "Of course he's got a point that you can't do any bit of business nowadays without going to some Jewish banker". And Henry Ford, as noted, was a rather extreme example.

Explain why the majority of my professors shoved leftist tripe down my throat then. Or why in my SCIENCE class we watched a Micheal Moore film. If you are conservative and voice your opinions in a university setting you are punished for it.

It seems a little ridiculous to ask someone to explain your personal experiences when you are the sole arbiter and narrator of those experiences. You're unanimous in that ,right?

Not at all however many professors do preach liberal ideology instead of the subject matter or find ways to incorporate it in. In one of my english courses for example we only read stuff written by Marxists yea no bias there or anything . When your group is the one in control of the majority of educational positions free speech and spirited debate become an afterthought.

The lizardmen shadow government from a near-Earth, invisible planetoid do run the secret societies of The Global Information Network. I know this as a fact. I made my very own receiver to pick up on their psychic brainwave frequency they use to communicate with each other. Their plans of world conquest are very frightening.

Quite so. He was an excellent orator and was very careful in how he presented to the public. Additionally, the mindset of the country at the time was easily swayed; after a devastating loss in WWI, the public was desperately seeking something to boost their mood. It was just the thing they were looking for - he gave them someone to blame for their problems. Napoleon once said, "A man will fight all day for a colored ribbon", and once he had their loyalty, well, it was pretty easy to control anyone who got out of line just through fear. There were plenty of Germans who didn't like him, but you didn't dare cross him for fear of your life or your family's lives.

There's still so much of this Antisemitism based off of exactly that, fear, and self hatred.

In high school we read excerpts from "Mein Kampf" and Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged"in English class.I totally reject both of their philosophies but welcome a chance to formulate my opinions from a diversity of options.I never remember a time in college when free speech or spirited debate was ever discouraged and as I've posted on a different thread my professors went to great lengths to remain professionally objective.

To be fair you went to school a long time ago (profile says you're 60). Things have gotten pretty bad in the universities as far as liberal biased goes since then. My Introductory English teacher would spend the whole class just lecturing how Christians are idiots and that God doesn't exist. I also had to take a women's studies class even though I was a bio major, which was an easy A, but still a waste of time.

I think so. I don't think it contributes anything of value, and is a derisive taunt that's all too likely to stir up bad feelings and start fights. I've renamed the thread and made some edits to posts.
