Music has always been very important in my life, I'll wear my tie dye Grateful Dead shirts and blast Led Zeppelin until they put me in the ground.

I don't have as much time to watch anime and play video games as I used to, but I have no intentions of giving them up.

I've always been a smart ass. Can't say I've sold out yet.

I used to be hard ass. I wore all black, had long hair, a big beard. I listened to Dying Fetus, but only their early goregrind work. The more brutal the better. I had pentagrams on my guitars.

Now I wear khakis and white T shirts. I get my hair cut every few weeks. I keep a neat goatee if I'm not totally clean shaven, and I listen to music so sweet it'll give you diabetes.

I've sold out.

When did you realize you sold out? You're an adult, and have to be one. Or have you not sold out yet? Or maybe it's better to call it maturing? Or getting older?

I Sold out when Nike called and said they "would like" for me to advertise for them. I remember it well. . .

I don't think I understand the question... sold out to whom? Mainstream people? Well, I haven't yet if that's what you mean.

I've never sold out. I have changed a lot over the years (as has my tastes) but I've always remained true to myself and to my heart.

Probably the time when I still thought a mans opinion on me defines my worth.
Other than that, not really.

It doesn't define you but in my opinion you're pretty awesome.

Interestingly, as I've gotten older I find that I'm going back to the things that were so very . . . antiestablishmentarian....

As I said earlier I had sold out over 30 years ago but I like to think you can undo that.... Some may disagree, likening it to your virginity, you never really get that back. I am of the mind that it doesn't mean you have to feel bad about realizing you were on "the bandwagon," especially if you have enough sense to get off of it when you find out how destructive it really is.

I think most all of us sell out sooner or later... it is just that we do not have to stay that way . . . and why we did it in the first place might have a bit to do with it too....

I don't believe in "selling out". I am who I am and I will always will be. My thoughts, tastes, and ideas change over time. I can't remember exactly how the saying goes but it's something along the lines of "If a man hasn't changed after 20 years of living then he has wasted his life." Besides if you're worried about "selling out" or "having sold out" then you probably were not genuine to begin with.

I just stopped going into Spencers, Hot Topic, and Claire's.
There's nothing but shit in those stores.
Cheaply made clothes, jewelry, or 90's fag dinglys.
I'd rather be seen for my accomplishments
or fashion sense that lasts longer than a year.

...Do you think that's why shirts are so crazy cheap these days? They made a shitty shirt of a band that lasts for just as long as the interest does.
I didn't think of that...
