Another anime that I enjoy watching is the Mongatari series: Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Nekomonogatari etc. There are a few more on Crunchyroll. I love the art style and the story line. It is very talkative though and sometimes absurdly fast. It also suffers from too much ecchi, harem, siscon themes which is a negative as I can't watch too many of those without wanting to stab my eyes out.

Currently I enjoy watching sports themed anime like Baby Steps, Ace of the Diamond and Yowamushi Pedal.

Dragonball Z and Naruto. These anime have characters that have taught me a lot of good principles. I am 25 years of age by the way.

Hey there fellow older crunchy-roll fans.

I'm interested to see how many of us are out there. I recognise that anime knows no age limit, but I reserve the right to be a big ageist here so I can try to find like-minded people to discuss similar themes with.

So, shout out if you're older! What is your fave anime and why?

Cheers
MB.

Hmmm favorite Anime. Well that keeps changing, we finish watching one show and we just go WoW it was awesome and its our favorite. Then it happens again with another

For now we LOVE Sword Art Online, it just left us with a longing we can't really explain to well. The characters also grew on us. We also loved Nagi no Asukara and a bunch of others.

OMG Yowamushi Pedal is super cool! I too also really love it! I have all 65 episodes of the whole series including season 2 and it's first feature-length movie on DVD

Feel old cause "back in my day" we didn't have this fancy streaming service, broadband or fiber lines. We had the old fashioned "modem with dial up setting" (screech, dut, dut,dut dut, screech, screeeeeech) and you had to wait just to see a picture of a show you might never see.

Hmm, well I don't really know what will come of this, but I'm 30.

Anime tastes are all over the place. I pretty much love a lot of the stuff they used to show on Toonami back in the day.

I tend to stick to just a few select anime genres only personally, such as romance, drama, supernatural, action and fantasy

I can remember this one time I was downloading an episode of Jigoku Shoujo on dial-up and it had almost finished when it cut out at 95% complete or something - so frustrating, especially with that accompanying sound effect! But thanks to VLC player I was still able to watch it...

Guess I've been around the anime scene for a while now since my favourites are really old; Saber Marionettes and Gasaraki. Some you're more likely to have heard of are Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Kyo kara Maoh! and Initial D, then the relatively recent Tasogare Otome x Amnesia and Mushishi. Basically it should have a good plot, good directing, and good music - and if it has some comedy then all the better!

I'll skip the up-to-date and current stuff since that can be discussed amongst anyone =P

PS
Outlaw Star > Cowboy Bebop imho
