Well I'm not currently watching it since I finished it a while back, but it was so good I feel it deserves a mention.

Nasume Yujin Cho. It manages to have you tearing up and laughing all within the same episode. Wonderful characterization and overall feel good anime. I would especially recommend to anyone who was a bit antisocial growing up.

I tried to watch black butler, but the over the top "humor" in it just annoyed me. Plus the plot is based on a demonic contract, so have to be careful not to get too caught up in that aspect.

Currently watching Orange, Mob Psycho 100, RE:zero, Alderamin on the sky, and JOJOs Bizarre adventure. (JOJO's villians can be downright evil and gruesome to a disturbing extent, so I'd recommend caution on that one).

If you want more details on any of these, let me know.

I tried reading the Black Butler manga for a while, but got...just sick of it after a while. The entire disambiguous morality of the series eventually just made me see everyone as evil - both your "hero" and all the other characters they interact with.

I'm currently watching Sweetness and Lightning from this season. It's very cute.

I'm also watching Bananya with my kids. They are loving it! I'm enjoying it too.

The protagonist of black butler is definitely evil. Not sure there is any ambiguity there really. Sometimes you have evil protagonists.

heh. I've been watching bananya as well. It's mildly amusing and very weird. However I found a much more entertaining series of cat shorts via the random button. (sidenote: I just realized your avatar is the daddy bananya)

Was laughing pretty much nonstop.

Poyopoyo is fun, I'm slowly working my way through it. Was going to watch it with my kids until they had cats having sex one episode...that would be a bit much for them. Bananya is more their speed.

And yes, they're evil - but the goal is to root for them as they are evil....but trying to destroy different evil in the world. They're fighting evil with more evil. It creates disambiguous morality or relative morality in their world. They are at times heroic, but still murderers and evil.

I almost forgot about that bit. It definitely seems geared more towards adult cat owners.

As for the black butler bit. Yeah, you tend to get that anytime you follow those sorts of protagonists. I personally prefer that to the cookie cutter villains that are evil for the sake of being evil. Every villain that has ever existed in the world operates under their own relative morality. It's been said that everyone thinks they're the good guy (those they commit atrocities against are often portrayed as evil themselves for wronging the villain in some way). Revenge stories are probably the worst culprits. The danger in getting pulled in to narratives that follow such characters is in not realizing that it IS a subjective morality. And any moral reasoning done outside the word of God will be subject to relative morality.
