I hope we can get the subbed Digimon movies for their seasons. Because, why not? I've only had to do fansubs to get the original Digimon Adventure movies, as well as Tamers and Frontier. So that, and Digimon Tri are all on my Crunchyroll wish list. Make it happen, and you can charge me DOUBLE

I'm loving the Digimon Episodes, and it brings back great times back when I was a kid. To wake early on Saturday morning just to watch it on Fox Kids.

But I don't like how you have to steal someone else copy to post it to Crunchyroll!
Just because you blur out the symbol in the top left hand corner at the beginning of the each episode doesn't mean you have the rights to that show.

CR wouldn't post it if they didn't legally have the rights to it. Therefore we can assume somebody gave them a crap copy of the show and they're making do.

it should be interesting to see if the EU's push to eliminate region locking will have an effect on CR's model. I mean they're an american company but they DO do business in the EU. Assuming that push is more than just politicking, it could be very good for all those who stream in the EU.

The EU has tried this before and failed, I don't think anybody's expecting it to succeed to any large degree because most of the hurdles it ran into last time haven't really been resolved.

If I understood it correctly, it would force Crunchyroll to offer the same service to all European users, so that would the same price and presumably the same content too. That would therefore mean, if a show wasn't available in one European country, it couldn't be shown in any of Europe.

So in that case shows like Attack on Titan, to which Crunchyroll has US, Canada, UK & Ireland rights would have to be pulled from the UK & Ireland, because they couldn't legally offer it anywhere else in the EU, and if FUNimation were to buy English-language rights to a title, which would include the UK & Ireland, that title couldn't be streamed anywhere in the European Union because they wouldn't legally be able to offer it in two EU countries. Should it work in this manner, Europe will probably lose access to a lot of content.

It sounds like a good idea in principal, but it has enormous potential to backfire. Although Crunchyroll is an American company, who could easily just pull all their European offices (if they have any), so the EU laws probably won't apply to them.

BTW:

Any Brits lamenting the lack of a Digimon fix, I just rediscovered that it is available on Amazon instant Video if you have a Prime sub.

This is fantastic. Crunchyroll adding more dubs is always a good thing!

I hope they get the dub for SAO II as well!
