Elinor scratched her head. "Oh nice.." She said as she looked around the room, not paying much attention. "I would say this place is pretty.. But there is something lying in the middle..of the floor.." She said. The girls voice was getting quieter. Hoping that the thing was dead. But it if wasn't she didn't want to be the one to wake it up.

Before Kana could respond to Elinor, a disgustingly sweet stench hit him like a bullet train, and a familiar chill ran into his body--the chill of death. "Oh god," he mumbled, doubled over and partially immobilized due to the sensations. The whispers from earlier were now completely audible, though they remained quiet, and Kana caught a couple words: "Help," "trapped," and...

"Up?" Kana repeated quietly. As he said the word, a drip of warm water caught him in the back of the head, prompting him to look to the ceiling. White pods dangled from the ceiling, and as Kana bewilderedly looked closer, he saw a branch sticking out of one of them. Wait... That's not a branch, Kana thought to himself, that's a...

That's a hand.

Kana's stomach dropped: Bodies stuffed in large white pods dripping blood, rotten meat and death lingering in the air, and the sound of clicking from earlier. They were standing in the lair of a giant arachnid, and the creature in the middle was the main resident.

"Elinor, stay calm and don't look up." Kana whispered hurriedly. "We need to leave this place as quickly as possible. Help me find an exit, and whatever you do, don't--" His words were cut short by his orb of light extinguishing. As if on queue, a tremor struck the room, and the creature in the middle began to rise. Kana stared in a mixture of awe and terror as the giant spider rose upon all 8 legs, 3 meters high and many more across. Although dwarfed by the size of the room, it nevertheless towered above him and Elinor.

And it was staring right at them. Shit.

Elinor saw Kana double over and she hurried over to him. She sat a hand on his shoulder to try to calm him down. "Hey.. are you okay?" She asked quietly. The boy was in to much shock to respond to her. Then just before she was going to say something else he looked up. Something deep in Elinor's stomach made her want to look up, but judging by the boy's face it wasn't to pretty.

However, the suspense was killing her.

Just when she was going to look up she heard the boy tell her not to and to help him find a way out. Was something the matter? Then they were hit with something that shook the room. An earthquake maybe? "U-uh.. what was that..?" She asked. Her attention went straight to the thing in the middle of the room. Elinor froze. "What.. is that thing..? A giant spider..?" The girl asked weakly. Her hands began to shake as she felt a cold sweat begin to form on the back of her neck.

No matter how much Elinor wanted to run and hide she just couldn't stop staring back at the giant thing. By this time the spider was already moving slowly towards the two. One leg, two legs, four legs, eight. One after the other. And even though the gap between them grew smaller she still couldn't move. "What am I gonna do.. What am I gonna do..." She kept thinking to herself. Repeating it, but still not doing anything.

As the giant arachnid approached, it seemed to quicken with each stride until it crawled frantically. All eight of its eyes seemed trained on Kana and Elinor, and its clicks grew more and more frenzied until they drowned out the whispers in the background. Kana glanced at Elinor, but she seemed absolutely frozen in place--whether in fear or shock, he couldn't tell. I can't let it trap us here, Kana quickly thought to himself. However, the tremors generated by the spider's movements had caused a mini-landslide to seal the tunnel from which they had come, and another exit was yet to be found.

Kana grabbed Elinor by the hand and took out his knife with the other, pulling her along as he skirted the outside of the chamber. "We can't just continue running, because before long that thing'll catch us!" Kana thought aloud. And sure enough, the spider was quickly closing the gap, scuttling along with all eight of its legs. Kana looked back just in time to see a spider leg swing and knock Elinor out of Kana's grasp and straight into the wall.

"Elinor!" Kana yelled, sprinting back and standing between the unconscious girl's body and the giant arachnid with his knife raised. The spider slowed its pace, as if sensing a fight. What do I do, what do I do? Kana frantically thought to himself. Although he was fairly skilled in hand-to-hand combat--or, at least enough to survive on the streets--he thought that hardly mattered when the opponent was twice as tall as him with four times the legs and two fangs longer than his knife.

Elinor felt a sharp pain course through her head. In a matter of seconds all she saw was black. Then there was this light. Then a pond. Then her face. She could see the ripples of the water turning red. The girl felt a presence and heard words, but they were in the background. To hard to notice. Her back began to feel like it was being ripped open, she could feel something soft rub against her lower back. Elinor groaned from all the pain. She could feel the water she had drank coursing through her body. All the memories of the faeries, the interest and hate they threw at her, the elder faerie that was like a parent to her. They all were gone within seconds. Then, all she could see was black again.

"We can't just let her roam around the forest alone, she's the first demon faerie. She will cause a lot of problems!" Elinor heard a familiar voice say.

"Well we can't keep her here either! She's a risk to changing the others. We can't have that!" Another argued back.

"What is that in her hand?" A female asked. Elinor could feel her fingers open without her even trying to.

"Do you really have to use telekinesis on her??" The first voice asked again.

"Do you want to risk being turned into evil with the smallest touch of her skin?? I don't." The second voice said.

"Just, tell us what it is." The first voice said.

"It's a small potion. Black water seems to be what's inside. But what is it for?" The second voice pondered.

A voice in the back of Elinor head spoke up. It sounded angry, hurt, sad. All at once. "Elinor you will take this bottle. You will find people. People who are worthy. And you will get them to become one of you. All you have to do is get them to drink a small drop of this. This bottle can turn about a hundred. And then each of them will get their own bottle. And so forth." The voice trailed off.

Elinor called for it in her head but she couldn't find it. But, a part of her felt like it would be back. "I can't.." She thought. "I cant just turn people.. into evil..." She thought.

"Do you know what type of power she has gotten?" The first voice asked.

"I'm not quite sure, and I really don't want to find out." The second voice said.

"Well, if we want to be able to defend against her just in case she decides to fight back, we need to know," The female voice said. Elinor felt her heart hurt. They were all scared of her.

"You must take revenge. For them treating you so badly," The voice said.

"I..I can't.." Elinor said out loud. She could here the clicking. "I can't I can't.." She repeated. Her eyes opened up a little and could see Kana standing in front of the angered spider. "K..kana.. Be careful.." She grunted. She slowly began to get up.

"This is your chance, Elinor. Fight. Take revenge. It may be evil like us, but no evil is as worthy as us to live. You must kill.." The voice said in her brain.

"I can't.." she whispered to herself.

"Oh but you can," It said. Elinor then felt something pierce her hand. But it wasn't from the spider. It was from inside of her. A black crystal like shard flew out of her hand. Soon after, her hand begun to bleed. "Your whole body is filled. It can come out from anywhere, morph into anything. Just try not to kill yourself with it," The voice hissed. And was gone.

Kana heard Elinor stir behind him, but he kept his attention focused on the eight-legged threat which slowly approached. The girl seemed to mumble a few words, but they were overpowered by the arachnid's noise. "Are you okay?" He yelled over the clicking.

" yeah..." Elinor yelled back. Trying to contain a scream of pain. She didn't want to make the spider do anything quite yet.

The girl stared in horror at her hand. Looking at the sharp crystal blade that now had her blood running down it. 'Is that.. Obsidian..?' She asked herself.

"Is what obsidian?" Kanahashi questioned, glancing over his shoulder and seeing some kind of rock or crystal jutting from the girl's hand. Blood dripped from the wound, and his eyes went wide at the sight. "Did you cu--"

Kana's words were cut short by a piercing pain in his right shoulder. He turned around and his eyes met with the source: two of the spider's fangs were embedded deep in his flesh. Kana could feel his arm turn limp as the rest of him followed suit: a paralyzing venom was spreading throughout his body! Horrified, he attempted to grab a healing seal from his left pocket, but the venom was quicker, and soon his entire body crumpled to the ground.

"GAHHHHH!" Kana yelled as the fangs slid out of his body with a sickening shick. However, his breathing and vitals seemed fine. Does this monster intend to eat me alive? Kana thought to himself fearfully. I can't move a muscle... How are we getting out of this?

"Kanahashi!" Elinor yelled. A million thoughts were rushing through her head. She had no idea what to do. She had never fought once in her entire life.

"Kill," The voice said. "Use your anger towards everything you have had done to you in your life and kill the beast.

"I can't i cant i cant... " Elinor repeated in a quick pace. Her eyes darted everywhere. Seeing if she could fly them out of there. "I can't kill.." She said after a few more seconds. She glanced over at Kana, then up at the spider.

"Yes you can. Do you want him to die? That spider surely will kill him, and you." The voice said. It sounded irritable.

Elinor noticed one of the spiders legs was not to far from her. She jolted towards it, holding her hand out. Once the obsidian hit its skin the crystal shattered. The spider back up a few steps screeching, its legs going crazy and the clicking going faster. "Crap crap crap." Elinor said under her breath. She looked over back at Kana. He was still on the ground.

"He isn't gonna get up any time soon you idiot. That spiders skin is like cement you should have noticed. Every time the damned thing steps it chips the ground!" The voice yelled at her. "Use the shards to your advantage. Even if the obsidian is not connected to you, you can still use it." Then the voice disappeared.

Elinor looked at the spider and then at the shards on the ground and then at the pieces still in her hand. 'Weak spot,' She thought. 'Everything has got to have a weak spot.' The spider cam up behind her and hit her with one of its front legs. Sending her flying. Elinor hit the wall and slammed into the ground.

The girl groaned and looked up. "You bitch!" She said as the shards flew. They hit the spiders back and shattered into smaller, sharper pieces. "Damn," She mumbled. That's when she noticed the spiders eyes. Elinor got up slowly, holding her shoulder. Her left temple was bleeding, along with her left wing. A few of her feathers were on the ground under her. "You will fucking pay," She hissed. She could feel the anger inside of her growing. The shards on the ground rose up and flew straight into each of the spiders eyes. The monster spread it's fangs apart and shrieked. Thrusting it's self everywhere as the contents of the eyes spilled out. "That's it." Elinor said. Her watch straight on the mouth. "Open wide." Elinor let go of her shoulder and shot another large chunk of obsidian out of her hand. She felt no pain, just the feeling of the warm liquid running down her palm onto the crystal once more. Her adrenaline was to high. She hit the base of the crystal on a rock. It broke and hit the ground. Parts of it chipped off but was still pretty sharp. Elinor picked up the spear and threw it up at the spider. The spear went straight down it's throat and out the back of the spiders head.

The monster held on for a bit more, hitting the walls and making rocks fall, but pretty soon it fell to the ground itself no longer breathing. Elinor fell to her knees and took a deep breath. The obsidian that was still connected to her hands retreated back in, leaving behind gashed. "Kanahashi.." She whispered. "We.. did it.." Her vision went blurry. The room began to spin and soon the girl blacked out.

Kana's eyes widened as he witnessed the girl fight with a ferocity he didn't think she possessed. He could hardly believe that this was the same helpless girl that could barely collect firewood, and yet Kana watched from the corner of his eye--the venom didn't allow him to turn his head--as the spider thrashed in its dying seconds. He heard the girl call his name weakly, and then a thud as she presumably collapsed on the floor.

"Elinor, are you okay?"
Kana asked. No response. "Elinor?" Again, no response. Guess she's unconscious again Kana thought to himself.

Kana summed up his current situation. Elinor was out cold, he was paralyzed, and, even worse, he had developed an itch on his nose... Guess I'll just wait for the poison to wear off... Kana thought to himself.

This sucked.

A few minutes later Elinor groaned. rolling over onto her side. Her wings ached from laying on them. "What..." She saw Kana laying on the ground and got up. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" She rushed over to him. Not noticing all her wounds were gone. All that was left was the dry blood.

Several minutes had passed before Kana heard Elinor stir. "Are you alright?" he asked the girl. Kana noticed the dry blood running up her arms, but he couldn't see any cuts: how strange. "How are you... I mean... How did you kill that? "
Posted 7/26/15
Elinor nodded then shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. I heard a voice tell me something and then I just.. did it." She said. "But, how about you. Can you move yet?"

Kana tried moving his fingers to scratch his nose, but to no avail: his body from the neck down was still fully paralyzed. "Nope," he replied, looking back up at the girl. "Although, I have this slip in my left pocket that should fix that, and also heal up my shoulder." Luckily his shoulder wasn't bleeding, but it didn't help that there were two holes that extended deep into his shoulder. There was also a dull throbbing pain exuding from the spot, but besides that it seemed fine.

As Kana stared up at the ceiling, the whispers came back, but they seemed less... menacing. More like, they even seemed a bit relieved, but maybe it was just his imagination.

"We should probably free those trapped souls, which I assume are kept in those giant white bulbs on the ceiling," Kana said to Elinor. "They've been here long enough."
Posted 7/28/15
Elinor reached into his pocket and pulled out what he was talking about. She examined it. "This is supposed to fix that?" She asked. "Interesting.." She then looked up. "Yeah, I kind of feel bad for them. We are lucky we didn't end up there as well." Elinor handed the paper to kana but realized he couldn't grab it.

"Well, uh, how are you supposed to even work the thing if you can't move?" She asked.
