Between the encounter of two Emperor species, there is just one response: dominance.
The relationship shared by this species consist only of consuming the other. New kin will be raised strong to either be killed (by) or kill it's parent. No wonder this useless blood is dying.
Consider the interaction between two of the dying species, drawn to one another. The only reunion is bloodshed, and excitement to subdue the other. Their instincts bring about inhumane behavior, to be the sole survivor of their own race. These dumb shits.
This survival instinct of theirs only bring about their demise. Examine, two of Emperor kin, one dead and the other dying. However, despite it's dying state, the emperor is ecstatic- thrilled to be the victor.

"You're god damn right."
Drew's lips stretched apart into a grimacing grin. He had lost an eye to the other Emperor, and his whole length was bloodied and broken. Standing above a limp body, the mouth of a beast tore away it's remaining mana. Shortly after feasting, Drew collapsed in the hollow forest.
Quite safe to assume he's dead.

HAKUEN, PRINCEON & DREW
The young Prince wanted to go out on a walk today, so she accepted. It was on the usual path in the forest, a path that was known only to the little guy and his caretaker. They would take walks in the forest almost everyday and just like every day, it was peaceful-- or at least, that's what Haku thought at first.

"Blood..." She mumbled recognizing a sharp smell. "Princeon," she called out to him and he raised his head. "I need you to go back to the cottage."
"Okay!"
"Will you get lost?"
"We were just there 5 minutes ago."
She chuckled. "All right, please wait for me there. I will come back as soon as possible."
"Okay!"

The boy retreated from the premises, now it was time for her to investigate. "Where is the smell coming from?" She followed her very normal sense of smell to a bloody scene.
"Oh dear," she winced at the sight. "What happened..?" She mumbled, she started to question what species would of caused this bloodshed, but her thought was interrupted by a movement. One of the two beings was alive. She quickly ran up to the survivor's side, seeing all the blood, she didn't hesitate to rip parts of her dress to wrap around his wounds.

"Hey, can you hear me?"

Collapsed, weakened and dying, Drew's consciousness dipped under subconscious instinct. Clenching his jaw, he growled through his teeth. The dame was only visible as a silhouette though his remaining eye. He struggled to move and strike at the potential threat, but his limbs no longer responded. Head falling back towards the ground, his eye closed and his chest rose and fell with harsh breaths.

From somewhere deep within his sleeping conscious, Drew could hear a voice. It kept him from slipping under and falling too deep into a state of eternal rest.

HAKUEN & DREW
"There's so much blood," Haku mumbled as she finished tying up the knots around the makeshift bandages on his wounds. "I'm not going to let you die, hang on," she said with determination and hoisted the man on her back, with a snap of her fingers she activated her enhancement magic and quickly ran back to the cottage where Princeon stayed.

It was just the two of them, with the man. Princeon didn't like it when there were too many servants, he didn't like them all. The cottage was relatively small, big enough for a small family of 3 or 4.
Once she reached the building, she quickly went in and placed the critically injured person onto a bed. She started treating him immediately and expertly.

The young prince watched from afar, quietly.

Treated with care, the man seemed to visibly relax. His breathing had softened, and he no longer looked as if he were fighting for his life. He slept through the night, waking the next evening.

In a daze, Drew slowly blinked up at the blurred image of a ceiling. He sat up with a pounding headache, accompanied by aching limbs.
"What the fuck?" He groaned, blindly glancing around with his toll of limited vision and immense confusion.
Where am I?
Trying to swim past his headache, he relapsed his memory of being drawn into the forest. Right: bloodbath.
It wasn't his first time facing death, but this time around he really thought that was it for him. He was aware of the bandages covering his body. Someone had treated him, quite nicely at that. Raising a hand to his face, he felt the eye patch over his eye and realized why he had a hard time seeing. Drew's heart hammered in his chest, a jack ass smile wickedly stretching his lips. He was the dominant.
Gleefully chuckling to himself, he met eyes with a small boy in the corner of the room. He hadn't noticed him there before, and their eyes locked a beat longer, making it a slight awkward. With a grin, Drew rose his bandaged arm, "You do this?"

Princeon, who was playing with his toy car in the corner quietly, immediately stopped his actions when he saw the injured man move. He was told to get Haku whenever he woke up, but he couldn't help but stare at the man. He looked cool, with the eyepatch.
At his question, he shyly retreated behind the doorframe and peeked his head out. He shook his head and a woman's voice could be heard entering the room.
"No, it was me," she said with a gentle smile and approached him, sitting down on the stool next to his bed. "You woke up a lot earlier than I expected, you must be a tough one." She giggled.

As the boy retreated, Drew dropped his arm, along with his smile. He stared down at his bandaged hand, wondering who it was that had treated him.
"No, it was me."
Drew stared up at the emerging body in the door frame and hummed. Studying her pale complexion as she sat beside him, he put his hands on his thighs and ducked his head, "Thanks. I would have been a dead man."
Raising his head, he considered where he was and figured he was still somewhere close to the forest. He glanced at the kid still hiding behind the door frame, and assumed the two were a family.
"I don't have much to offer." He said, a slip of ice lacing his voice. There weren't many strangers that would lend a helping hand to a dying man found in the forest. Drew grew wary, a hint of suspicion clouding his reason. However he couldn't come to feel a sense of hostility from the woman, and relaxed.

"You're very welcome," she said and took out some medical supplies from under the bed. "My name is Hakuen, but please call me Haku. The little boy over there is Prince Princeon."
The boy peeked his head out again and stared at the man for a few seconds before speaking. "Hello."
"Good timing for you to wake up, I need to change your bandages now~" Haku's voice chimed.

Instructing and helping him sit up, the woman started unwrapping some of the bandages that covered his body. She was extremely curious about this man, for being able to wake up from a close-to-death state in a day was amazing. He was definitely not human, but then... what could he be? With her curiosity backing her up, she didn't hesitate to ask. "Hey, what exactly are you? To have been built so strong and with such a strong will to live... it must be amazing."

The man frowned, seemingly contemplating something. "My names Drew." He glanced over at the little prince, wondering if his title was just a mere form of play for children or affection. It was unlikely for a royal prince to be staying at a small cottage in the forest, it was far too dangerous. Glancing from the child to the woman, his frown deepened. The two seemed rather defenseless, and nursing a complete stranger to health wasn't the best idea. He could have been a maniac. Or well, he is one.

Though at first reluctant, Drew sat up with obedience, letting Haku unwrap the bandages. He wasn't too sure how he felt about being nursed back to health by a beautiful woman, but he was thankful to be alive. If she had asked him to do something, he probably would have done it. Taken back by her question, he let out a gruff grunt. Amazing doesn't come close.
His desire to become stronger was almost euphoric, yet he was aware what a destructive life he was leading. The Emperor species was on the verge of extinction and under hiding once the humans had claimed their magic to be taboo. He wasn't too sure if it was a good idea to tell the woman, but he was willing to do anything in return of her kindness.
"I'm an Emperor specie." Drew answered, while motioning for the boy to come out of hiding. He didn't expect for her to know what that was.

"An Emperor?" Haku let out surprised. She knew exactly what they were and she had a hunch that he might have been one but didn't think of it since the species was rare and almost extinct. "Wow..." She simply let out, a faint smile on her lips as she wrapped new bandages on his wounds. "So I was right." She nodded to herself. "I' glad to have saved you, then."

At the injured man's motion, Princeon took a step to the side to reveal himself. He continued to stare at the man silently at a safe distance, but it wasn't out of fear-- it was out of pure admiration. "... So cool..." His single shining eye could display that thought across his face. Haku had told him stories of different species and Emperor was one of them.

Drew flexed and stretched where she wrapped, testing his aching joints. If he willed himself to, he could probably get up and walk; but that would risk all his wounds to open again. He grit his teeth, "Glad to have saved me? Look, I'm thankful that you did, but Emperors are-"
"... So cool..."
Baffled, Drew looked over at the staring boy, then over at Haku again. Groaning, he covered his face and smirked into his hand. Eye peeking above his fingers, he glared at the Prince. "I hate brats... But you don't look like one to me."
Patting the bed for the boy to come sit, Drew noted that it was like willing a shy animal to come closer.

"They are very dangerous, I know," Haku smiled. "But worry not, I am stronger than I look. I wouldn't of carelessly helped you without knowing that you might bite back... but you haven't. I am grateful for that." She said and finalized the changing of his bandages. "Done. Thank you for your patience."

Princeon walked over and went to sit down on the empty spot of the bed. "Mister, mister! We both have eye patches now! Isn't that cool?"

Drew smiled, a little embarrassed to be shown gratitude. At the same time, he grew wary of himself. If it weren't for his paralyzed state, he probably would have bitten back. Looking over, he eyed Haku, trying to judge her character and strength. As she had finished changing his bandages, he moved his muscles, feeling the comfort of her aide.
Grinning with sharp teeth, Drew glared down at the boy. "Cool? You're strange, kid."
Raising his hand, he ruffled the boys dark hair and sighed with forfeit. "I guess losing an eye ain't so bad then."

Princeon beamed a smile at the man named Drew. He suddenly remembered something and put his hand in his pocket, rummaging in it to take out a small piece of candy. "Here!" He held it out to Drew. "To make your booboos better! Mama told me that a kiss or yummy food makes booboos go away!"

Smiling, Haku left the room with the old bandages and left the Prince with the stranger for a few seconds. Before leaving the room, she gave him a smile... a smile similar to one of a protective mother saying 'do anything to hurt him and I will break your neck'.
