Is there a way to watch with ads? Any time I watch something it brings up the trial question box, but I have an account, but it's not premium and I don't mind that. On PC I know it's possible to do so without a premium account, so why would it not be possible on consoles?

Hi there!

Unfortunately the WiiU app is currently only for Premium/P+ Members only. However, we do intend to make it so regular users can stream through the WiiU app with advertisement sometime in the future. Until then I'm afraid you'll need a membership to stream through that device.

Thank you for replying. Hopefully this feature is added soon, as the Wii U browser doesn't support crunchyroll or fan sites.
