Heyo, as the title says, I'm looking for something to watch after work, so something pretty light and not super intense.
I'm too damn tired to think of the stuff I've seen that is similar to what I'm looking for so here is my MAL.

I'm also open to manga suggestions.

I can highly recommend this season's still ongoing anime short series Comical Psychosomatic Medicine

Each episode of the 19 that are currently available on here so far is just 5 minutes long & side-splittingly funny

A few fun, easy-going series that I enjoy (I didn't notice any of these on your lists, but forgive me if I missed something):

Hanasaku Iroha: Solid slice of life with some an okay romance. Mostly just a feel-good coming of age story, with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure.

Kimikiss: Pure Rouge : Three solid, interwoven love triangles--although it lacks the absurd melodrama that love triangles tend to have. In each case, it's about people getting to know each other, and then making a choice about who they want to be with. Slow-paced, but fun, and with a solid ending.

The World is Still Beautiful: A short series based on an on-going manga (though they do find a reasonably good place to end it), it's just a nice story about two people falling in love.

Aishiteruze Baby (great anime; the manga is even better): A little bit like if you took Usagi Drop, replaced the father-figure with a high-schooler, and mixed in a good shoujo love story. Slow paced, but good drama and a lot of cute moments--and a very good romance, once that gets going.

As for Manga:

Ah My Goddess is the best thing I've ever read: comedy, romance, and a bit of action.

Ai Yori Aoshi, Maid-Sama, Special A and Love Hina are all excellent romance/slice of life manga that were turned into mediocre anime.

Angel Densetsu is probably the funnest (and funniest) thing I've ever read, if the bad artwork doesn't bother you.

Hen Koi (The After School Diaries) is like a more perverted version of American Pie, but manga version; it's a great laugh, if you don't mind the perversion factor turned up to 11.

Umi no Misaki is the best true harem that you'll ever see.

Ranma 1/2

Maison Ikkoku

Ah My Goddess

Kachou wa maid sama

Kaze no Stigma

Spice and Wolf

Victorian Rommance Emma

The Mysterious Cities of Gold(the original series)

I would start with these, even the ones that aren't comedies, are pretty light hearted, and don't require much thought, yet are still awesome as all hell :)

Hmm well in that case, watch Kemono no souja erin. It's fairly light hearted for being such a serious drama anime, but while there are a couple of really sad moments, there's a bunch of profound moments, so it comes off as more of a upbeat anime "for the most part". Also although it has the 2nd best world building aspect, in the entire history of anime, it focuses on mainly the 1 main char(and the little bit of political intrigue there is, Isn't very deep), so it doesn't require much thinking.

It's available on cr as well :)

I have this as 1 of my favorite anime of all time, It's so great(makes Clannad seem like a utter POS)
