For lent what are you gonna give up?

-me its chocolate, I go crazy when I eat it, my eyes get dialated, I get all giggly, & creep the heaven out of my friends, who ALWAYS try to take it away from me, so this lent will be benefiting for many individuals

And giving up something you dislike doesn't count; vegetables, studying,......bathing...eeeeww. Remember something you always use! Is what you will give up to spend more time on more productive things, like being with God, rather than play xbox 24/7!

Singapore doesn't really acknowledge Lent, so it's a rather new concept to me. But if it is what I think it is, I would gladly give up study time for the Lord. He knows how anxious I usually am to keep up with school work, so it's not something I hate, really. I give entertainment up for studies, studies up for God.

lent, also known as ash wednesday It's part of the Catholic religion where once a year, you give up something usually that has to do with personal leisure/comfort and it lasts for 6 weeks, like for example my friend isn't going to eat sweets for lent, and you don't eat meat for wed. and fri. days! It's not fasting, but celebrating Jesus sacrificig dying on the cross, so in honor we sacrifice something too, though giving up chocolat-lol is nothing compared to Jesus dying for our sins! And it always ends on Easter Sunday, because thats when Jesus rises back!
