I've always liked sandwiches...My favourite fillings include crunchy peanut butter, bacon and Marmite

(But obviously not altogether)

Just reading the title of this forum made me laugh.

I like peanut butter and jelly, or this hummus and spicy omelet sandwich my grandmother makes

I sometimes find a good sandwich more filling and appetizing than a full meal. The variety of sandwiches you can make is pretty much unlimited in scope. As for some I like...

Meatball/Sausage/Veal Parmesan Sub
Roast Beef or Pastrami with Nacho Cheese sauce
Toasted PB and J
Toasted PB and American cheese
Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwich (Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy on a roll)
Grilled Cheese
Spicy Italian (Salami, Sandwich Pepperoni and Provolone Cheese)
Philly Cheesesteak
Chicken Cordon Blu Sandwich
Any type of Beef burger
And my house special (Roast beef, baked ham and havarti cheese with honey mustard)

The last one I consider my favorite.

Do you eat sandwiches often?
Yes yes I do. At least 1 a day.

What's your favorite sandwich?
Well you start off with some coleslaw, Then add diced red onion. Warm pastrami. Warm chicken breast. Melted pepper jack and extra sharp
cheddar cheese. And have that all between two pieces of freshly baked potato bread. mmmmmmmm. Also hot sauce optional.

And while we're at it, have you ever eaten a toast sandwich?
Ummm can't say I've ever had that idea before. But I'm totally going to sometime later.

I guess you're right.
That sandwich is still a bit of a fallacy but it looks mouth-watering so it gets a pass.

Another way that a sandwich could consist of only one slice would be the fold technique, but I haven't used that since I was a little kiddo spreading peanut butter onto a slice for some random snackage.

One effective, yet macabre way of eating said sandwich is by placing the your hand on top of the parmesan and grilled chicken breast. That way you get bread underneath and bread (fingers) on top, thus completing the circuit.
Kidding aside, I agree. The concept of "open-face sandwiches", in essence, is contradictory to its name. It lacks the most fundamental property of a wichsand: the bread on top. lel.

1. I eat sandwiches way too often. I'm sick and tired of the texture of bread at this point. I don't want any more. I consider burgers to be sandwiches, too.

2. Probably a classic pastrami sandwich (Swiss cheese on rye bread with a mountain of thinly shaved peppery pastrami and spicy mustard) or a comforting tonkatsu sandwich (fried pork cutlet, de-crusted white or tofu bread, Japanese mayo, cucumber, tomato, tonkatsu sauce). I don't mind an occasional roast chicken sandwich (any type of bread, dijon honey mustard, chicken, baby spinach, tomato, olives, bell peppers), either.

3. I despise toasted bread. I hate how it feels in my mouth and I hate how the annoying little crumbs fly off everywhere and I hate the sound of the crunch. I like all my bread untoasted, soft, and cold.
