That point where all the shows people talk about are still sorta the news to you.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam is a god damned classic with some amazing hand drawn animation. Even the newly released Turn A Gundam and its 2000 style has plenty of merits.

Turn A is 15 years old? Zeta is 30? God damn....

mmm that ages well...

well Inuyasha was the first one in early 2000 that I saw after a long time not watching any anime at all since the 70's , and I thought it aged well in comparison to now.

so, like the very first anime i ever watched was gunsmith cats way back in 1997 or something like that. some weird cartoon my cousin brought over called, 'anime'.
the other day i watched it again and found out sprisingly enough that it was still very good.

anyone else want to add to the list of anime that has aged well?

The only thing that aged better was the CZ75(now B)

Ghost in the Shell (all versions), have still held up. Same for Evangelion.

I'd say You're Under Arrest has held up pretty well.

If the main story premise wasn't based off of the Mayan Calender (December 2012 was when Tokyo got subsumed into Mu Space to become Tokyo-Jupiter), RahXephon would still hold up pretty well.

I was thinking about this thread some more Question: when does another studio buy the rights and then over hall the anime with better graphics like they do in Hollywood? Or maybe doesn't happen but I guess I wouldn't mind if good story and original gets credit

Better graphics is Hollyspeak for CGI movie.
