Survival of the fittest is bull. We all need to help each other if any of us want to survive. At this rate, I very much believe that all life will die. Followed by humanity, of course. In my opinion, everyone is warned, but the amount of people listening very unfortunately is much smaller than the amount of people ignoring it. The people ignoring it don't realize the consequences and probably only will once they happen....

Lol, i like this solution. Our grandchildren will be freaking geniuses and they will invent the time machine. So they can go back to the past and fix our mistakes. So everyone calm down and live life.

How is the article horrible? Also, some animals are more crucial in their importance to sustain their ecosystem. So we should put more effort in saving those animals and spend less attention in saving the ones that whose main function is simply because it is aesthetically pleasing. We also cannot save every animal, I'm down for changes as long as it does not drastically affect my way of life

Yeah the gradual warming and consumption is leading to a ELE. We are exhausting out resources in my opinion.

psh you can warn people all you want, no one will listen, just like global warming. They still believe political bullshit, so I say, just sit back and watch everyone destroy themselves I say.

The denialism is mostly based on consequence rather than actual evidence. The deniers are too lazy or unwilling to accept the inconvenient responsibilities that would come with addressing the problem. But instead of just admitting that, they try to convince themselves the science must be fallacious.

Yeah, they are already blaming it on God or the end times, when we're to blame. Or they hide behind the skirts of politicians. Politicians are not gonna do s**t. Hell where I live in Cali (Socal specifically) there are already signs that you will get a ticket if you water your plants outside of a certain time. California is in a drought, and politicians are even saying that this time, that their hands are tied. Water is freaking gone in some places and people don't seem to give a single f**k.

Survival of the fittest works when we're not part of the equation. Animals aren't the ones f***ing up the planet by pumping a shit ton of CO2.

The world would be much better off without us to invade, pollute and kill off whole ecosystems and as a species we are the greatest threat to this planet we call home and we're supposed to share this planet with other life instead, we have to be greedy and have it all. People have differing views when it comes to man we can be seen as either this world's greatest life form or this world's most destructive life form. That article made me absolutely sick to my stomach to read but nobody on this rock will give a damn and that is the most saddening and infuriating thing to say nobody on this rock will give a twinkling towards this damn.

I read that the Natives back then had a lot of environmental friendly inventions. Like, even their cities were pretty good for the environment. I wish I knew more.
But.... *looks over at Colonists*
Anyway, I say we ask for Natives help/advice on how to prevent more animal extinctions from happening and ways to help the environment. From what I read, that's what they seem to be the best at.

I guess you have never heard of desalination plants before? Just because Cali doesn't have many does not mean its not possible.
