So post what you like and discuss about why you like it.
(for example music for the summer where I would feel that the chill pill strikes)

I go through seasonal phases. I'll go in order.

Winter - Very into heavy, dark and brooding electronic and metal music. Love walking around at night in the dark with the bright streetlights and take it all in. My favorite time of the year is right at the end of the year, December.

Spring - Punk and hardcore all the way. Always delve into the 80's/90's straight edge scene for spring, with some hints of metal. I go into my fitness craze to drop winter weight and need some fire to get going.

Summer - Happy upbeat music, mainly pop and rock. Lots of good walking music, this is my favorite music season. Love this kind of stuff the most.

Fall - The time of the year where I get back in a groove with school and work. So I usually listen to a mix of all the other seasons, with some indie thrown in. Lots of good music to listen to while in commute.

TL;DR - I f*cking love music.

We've got a whole Music forum, so I've moved this there. Also modified the title a bit to reflect this is a good place to share favorite music that seems particularly suited to particular seasons (summer or not). (There's already a general Favorite Music thread).

Once upon a time there was nothing like almost anything from The English Beat that felt like summer. Especially summer on the deck drinking margaritas

These days I don't listen to much that carries with it a sense of a certain season. Or maybe I just never think about it anymore since I don't listen to music as much.

ETA a link: Stand Down Margaret -- but gosh the audience in that vid doesn't seem too into it. How can they be sitting there so dull-like? It's ska! Who can sit still while listening to ska!

See ETA above. As a mod it can take me a bit of time-- I don't always link because I try to be extra careful to find what seem to be official uploads. Also wanted to find a particular song that had that particular feeling. Also, old memories. Couldn't think of titles right off!

During each of the last two summers I have fallen in love with a different band (or album) and those albums will always be associated with summer for me. I consider them to be night music, but still summer music.

Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork

The Protomen - Act II

Summer = chill music + punk/garage/rock + electronic/dance = Bob Marley, Sublime, 311, The Dirty Heads, Harry Belafonte, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Hives, The Offspring, Smash Mouth, The Fratellis, Fall Out Boy, Dada Life, Enur

Spring... umm.... either Celtic music like Enya (makes me think of nature) or... fun/upbeat music like K-pop or just pop in general (happy bubblegum pop)

Fall... hm... maybe... Billy Joel, Oasis, Audioslave, Coldplay, The Cinematic Orchestra, The Album Leaf, Ludovico Einaudi, Agnes Obel, The Xx, Of Monsters & Men, The Shins, Modest Mouse, Okkervil River, Fleet Foxes, Death Cab for Cutie, Athlete, Sigur Ros, M83
(pretty much music that makes me want to lie down and contemplate life while the leaves fall off the trees and you can feel the crisp autumn air)

Winter... err... classical music, chillstep, post-rock, and maybe symphonic/power metal... such as Jaymes Young, Tom Day, CMA, Blackmill, Explosions in the Sky, Hammock, Oskar Schuster, Apocalyptica, Epica, Solstafir
(I guess this is similar to fall except this one's more cold?)
