i'd rate them. if they suck at bullying, i will feel disgusted to have grabbed the attention of such an insect.

They're just trying to get a reaction out of you. Pay no mind to them and show them they're not worthy of your attention. If it gets out of hand, like physically assaulting you or stealing something valuable from you, you should tell someone. Or, you can let your psychotic split personality take over and traumatize them when no one's looking and make them regret messing with you...

Umm, well, it depends on the length and severity of the bullying. First, I would hope it stopped, or , depending on situation, I would reach out for help..

Simple answer confront the bully more in depth answer as why I believe that read my experience with a bully

When I was younger I got bullied a lot most of the time I ignored it but that doesn't solve anything. Now a days telling the school is pointless since the school literally can't do anything effective besides tell them to stop. From words to it getting physical I couldn't do anything until my father gave me permission to defend myself. I didn't want to bring shame to my family but once they gave me the ok and the next time he got physical I grab him by the throat and slam him against the wall several times. There were no teachers around so while he was dazed I drag him to the corner wall where I planned to slam the back of his head into fortunately for him and myself my Spanish teacher walked by and saw me grabbing him by the throat she simply and calmly told me to put him down which I did and I felt like I was going to be the one to get in trouble but the teacher knew me and told him what did he do to cause me to grab him. The look on his face and i'm sure mine was priceless. She told him if he continued to cause trouble she would make sure he was expelled and she simply told me to get back to class. after school I was so grateful I had to thank her and she told me she knew he was a trouble maker and I was a kind person then she quoted " Beware the fury of a patient man" and told me that I was in the right.

After that word got around and my school life improved a few bullies that would mess with me ignored me from then on and even the teachers told me good job they knew he was a bully but they couldn't do anything if they didn't see it. The teachers even went on to where if me and the bully had classes together they would tell me good job at defending myself. Back then when the schools were allowed to have common sense.
Now a days both the victim and the bully would get suspended and nothing get resolve which is what makes the victims feel powerless till the point where they can't take it anymore. Especially in America do we know the results of the people who feel powerless. For that reason alone I won't criticize anyone who does something extreme in schools with out knowing what kind of life did everyone involve lived.

Confront them is what I would do, but I'm not sure that's the right decision. When I was younger, I got bullied a lot, probably because I was a bit of an overachiever. In like... everything. Anyway, I kept getting pushed around, then some stuff happened at home and I did not take s*** from anyone. No one messed with me then, but also nobody really wanted to talk to me because I'd become sarcastic, cold, and angry all the time. I got really lonely and ended up only having 3 friends, only 2 of which I would see on a daily basis. I told my mom about it, but when she offered to tell the principal about it, I said no, not because I was afraid, but because I thought it would be snitching and therefore mean. I was a strange kid.

Ignored one of them for a long time. Decided I'd put him in his place and publicly humiliated him in gym class in front of all his peers.

Thought about beating the shit out of him but... humiliation leaves a better imprint on the mind though at a younger age

This was pretty much my life as a kid. As much as I wish I could say "confront the bully", what I ended up doing was almost always ignoring it and hoping it stops. I think confronting the bully is the best way to deal with the situation, though.

I tell someone about it and get advice on what I should do and in the meantime avoid going to places where the bully might be until I figure out how to confront them.

I would confront the bully because it shows that your confident and you can stand up to them.
