it seems more of this stuff is happening. when i was growing i dont think i ever remember this happening. it could have something to do with the smartphone era. parents just not having a good sense of their surroundings. do you like the way these people are criminally justified or do you have other opinions?

Some of the stupidest people alive are parents, especially the ones who do this. We call them "non-functionables", people so stupid it actually pains me to think of how stupid they are.

Make a test for parenthood. Anyone can stick their gun in the holster, but can't raise what comes after you.

Probably better off just having these people deep sea dive with no masks or gear. It'll be fun for everyone involved

They are ignorant of what mother sun can do in such a little time and how much humans can actually take (very hot can 10-15min for lets say a baby could kill or for a dog/pet)

It used to be OK to leave your kids in the car to run into the bank. BUTTTTTT....... this also wasn't leaving them in 100F weather in the car to run into the bank. Now, it's not OK to leave your kid in the car to do anything. This has always happened, but I'm going to blame the 24 hour news cycles for it "happening" more and more.

The most ironic thing about the "hot car" issue, is that everybody makes a big deal about this, but the government clowns has passed anti-idling laws.

This happens a lot in Phoenix.
I don't get why people leave or forget their kids in a hot car.

There's also a lot of kids who die in the family pool this time of year.

Being alone in the car is bad enough. When I was younger, I would always get scared that the people walking by would smash the car window/break into the car and kidnap me.

I don't get it either. It doesn't hurt to bring your child along with you to the store.

On a sidenote, I've heard a story where some woman left her dog with the windows up and no water on a hot day. Some Army veteran passed by and broke into the car so the dog wouldn't die inside the car. The veteran was later arrested from criminal charges (the lady insisted on the arrest) but no charges were made against him. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/13/man-saves-dog-arrested-michael-hammons_n_7271370.html The lady claimed she was out for 5 minutes, but was given a citation from Animal Control.

Also people who tie their dogs up outside the bagel store or something and leave them panting and barking in the heat

Never understood how this could happen. It's a kid, not a bag of groceries. *fumes*

Don't think they're doing it on purpose. Maybe it was a rough day, so they forget that heat can kill. Or the outside temperature is cool, but the car was parked in the sun.

Having a child is a tough job.
Personally seen what it can do to a person, it can break them.

Just like I said, they are ingoring the fact that the sun/heat can be that dangerous (where they do one thing and forget the other like the heat or that the child or pet is inside a hot car)

I see people leave their car on for the kids while they go inside to shop. I literally saw this on Saturday when I was out shopping. My parents never left me in the car, especially since it gets over 120 here where I live during the summer. Currently over 110......good god we've heard of kids and pets getting roasted in the cars. so sad
