Lol sorry I'm drunk, into half a bottle of vodka! Wooooooooo!
Posted 6/23/15
A Vodka guy! Yes!!! My aunt brought over some Skyye Vodka....soooo did not like it. Smirnoff is far better (we're talking flavored vodkas here).

Well....this is an RP and we're both drinking anyway. So I"m going to set up a scene in a bar and walk around. No plot yet, just seeing where it's gonna go and who joins in.

Scene: Bar in USA (somewhere).
Time: Twilight/night
Character: for now I'll be a regular character and just use the picture I posted in the 'make an avatar of yourself'. For the sake of clarity I'll use Third Person and keep it on 'Novel' form.
Name of Character: Let's just call her Shirley Eckhart.

It had been a long day at work and Shirley was quite glad that it was over; putting away the last of her papers she looked out of the huge office window and saw the sun streaking the sky into shades of purple, orange pink and white like rainbow sherbet.
Although being a clerk at a trucking company was not the most relaxing job of all, the Twenty-Eight year old was simply glad to even have a job. Half of her girlfriends already had jobs and huge college loans. The other half now had college loans and no job to be had.
Such is life. She thought to herself quietly, putting away everything in its place from paperclips to folders. Rinsing out her coffee cup before putting it in her drawer, Shirley took out her desk key and locked all of it up tightly.
Things often went missing...especially when there was temporary help.
The young woman dusted off little flecks of paper from her plain black high neck top and flicked some dust from her short sleeves when she heard a grating voice, causing her to look up and plaster a false smile on her tired face.
"Yo, Eckhart." There stood Judd Lawson, Trucking Manager and her direct boss. He was a short, rotund man with balding hair that fell on the sides of his head in thin wisps of grey and brown. He had small eyes that twinkled meanly as he grinned greasily at her.
"Did you have Aaron fill out his trip sheet like I told you to?" He demanded.
"Yes, Mr. Lawson." She responded quietly, continuing to get up and gather her purse and lunch pail.
"And the Agency? Did you ask them for another janitor?"
"Yes, Mr. Lawson. One will be coming tomorrow. I'll explain their duties thoroughly." She confirmed with a nod, pushing up her silver-rimmed circular glasses up her nose before quickly going past him. He always made her gut churn although she didn't know why personally.
The fact that he lived to fire people was not lost on her at working for Lawson Trucking for over eight years.
"See ya tomorrow, Miss Eckhart."
"Good night, Sir." She nodded, swiftly going down the stairs before he could say anything further. Madison was still at the reception desk and Shirley quickly waved goodbye, all but running out the double doors of the small building and into the parking lot.

The hot hair of the day hit her squarely like a fast punch but the girl continued walking to her small Hyundai of faded white with its black interior. Opening up the doors she let the hot hair out and pushed in her key, the thrum of the engine starting up nicely as if to welcome her after a hard day's work.
Almost out of here She whispered mentally to herself, taking a glance back to see if Judd was trying to stop her. It wasn't unheard of for him to catch her just as she was pulling out and giving her last minute tasks for the next morning.
Thankfully she had secured herself against that as she pulled out of the driveway, the soft black pants she were sticking slightly to the leather seats from the heat.
Why did it have to be summer? Well, it didn't really matter. It was the weekend now. The all important 'Friday Night' and she knew just the place to go.

There was a small bar not ten minutes from where she worked. The sign flashed in neon orange for 'Open' and on top of the rustic Old-West style saloon entrance was imprinted 'Tony's Hangout'.
She could taste those chicken wings now!!
Shirley carefully avoided the 35-mph speed trap just before turning in and parking, locking her car with a quiet chirp just as the sun began to set and the a hot breeze made her long blonde hair billow slightly. Thinking better of it she took out a hair tie from her pocket and put her hair into a long low ponytail for neatness, opening the door.
The low hum of people met her ears and she selected her quiet corner at the bar itself, putting in her order to the bartender. She had seen him before, a tall lanky man with an easy, wide grin and bright big blue eyes named Larry.
"Just wings, hon?" He asked, bellowing her order to the cook in the back as she sat down.
"For now, Larry. For now." She laughed, putting her purse on the table as Larry poured her usual drink and slid it over. Bourbon and coke.
"Thank God it's Friday." Shirley muttered, taking a long slow drink of it with a sigh of pleasure at being out of the stuffy office. The noise was low, the people minded their own business and for the past seven years she had been coming here, not once had she had a problem with any of them.
Shirley Echhart took another drink of the black combination and then put the pretty glass down, staring into it as her ice cubes clinked.
Things were all right; but she was lonely too. Her parents were gone and she had no family now to speak of that really cared for how she was doing.
Being on your own was great; but being alone...now that was quite another thing.

ooc: I've never done first person role play so do forgive me if I mess up ^_^;; end ooc:

Shirley looks over to her left, seeing a young man about her age in the corner booth. She notes that he is not a regular and that he looks very tired. She gets up and walks over to him and says in a quiet voice to Jim,

"You look about as tired as I feel. You're not a regular here. Can I buy you a welcome drink? It's a nice bar, after all."

Shirley asks Jim, trying not to look very nervous as she doesn't speak to strangers very often and never at the bar. She fidgets a little and nods to the bartender, indicating the bartender with her head.

"George is really good at specialty drinks, too. He can make anything."

ooc: I feel so out of my element!!! end ooc:

Shirley smiles at him and nods, her nervousness slowly dissipating as she lets out a breath and calls to George. "Yo, George, can we get two old fashions, both on my tab?"

George, the balding rotund owner of the bar, grins and nods with a wave. "You got it, Shirl!"

Shirley looks back at Jim and puts out her hand, hoping it isn't shaking too much. "I'm Shirley. Welcome to Tony's Hangout."
