Hello Crunchyroll! In our continuing efforts to make the Crunchyroll site even better, our engineers have come up with a new feature: an updated Simulcast Calendar that lets you easily discover and explore the new titles that we broadcast from Japan each day!

Right now, we're still working on making the Simulcast Calendar the best it can be, so the feature is currently in beta. We're giving our Premium+ members the opportunity to play around with this calendar first and provide feedback, which will go directly into future improvements for the feature leading up to our wide release. The page will prompt you for feedback via a pop-up in the bottom right corner - please fill it out and have your voice heard!

The Simulcast Calendar looks great and lets you schedule your viewing habits at a glance. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we do!

In short: if you're a Premium+ member, you now have access to the beta version of our new Simulcast Calendar, the best new way to explore our weekly simulcast lineup!

I hope they include something that indicates when an episode is/was delayed... but yeah, the calendar needed improvement, but what really needs this is the MANGA section, I'd love to be able to tell which series are monthly and which are weekly without googling each name, then translating to japanese, and then googling again...

Well, that's cool. I still don't get why it should be limited to Premium+ members if you want feedback, though.
The one biggest feature I'd like, though, is integration with google calendar (i.e. put simulcast titles into a calendar).

How about all members who are PAYING for anime since it is an anime calendar.

I agree. Technically its just anime. Those are easier to get updated episodes on. What is truly challenging is the manga. New releases and translations. I would benefit more from that being on the calendar. Or any special event item regarding CR. Since I have the episodes I watch ave I always can see clearly what is ready to watch.

The calendar is still in Beta, but once we're able to collect user feedback and iterate on its design, we'll be releasing it to everyone!

i also think it would benefit from including manga. It would be nice to know what time new chapters are being released and what day for most series we typically don't find out until the day of or the day before if we're lucky for most series.

*shrugs*

I'm on a bog-standard non--plus Premium subscription and I don't see a problem with this.

For one thing, from the moment they announced reshuffling the membership tiers they put "Early Access to Beta Test New Features" as one of the Premium+ benefits. So it's not as if this is unexpected unfair treatment.

And much as I often like being able to early-access test unpolished systems (I'm a tech-geek, it goes with the territory...) sometimes even I want to just sit back and let other people work their way through the most egregious issues with anything new.

And this sort of phased-rollout makes perfect sense. Putting aside the user-feedback aspect, it allows them to test out a new system with real-world users and see the impact of running it in the wild before having it go under a full system load.

Awesome, thanks for the awesome calendar. I like how it's setup weekly and there's a a countdown to let members know when there's a new episode.

Here are a couple of suggestions:
- Include a short description of the series, poster, and ratings once someone hovers over an anime title.
- Include a countdown for free members so they're aware when another episode is available to stream.

The fact that it's actually readable might make me upgrade to Plus...
Maybe.

I vote for a Calendar in the Manga section. It's a lot harder keeping track of Manga releases than
it is with Anime. Then again, a queue for Manga would probably be just as good (and possibly even better).

Great feature! Now you don't have to check updated under shows every time you miss a day or two and want to catch up. I am drowning in a huge queue of shows I have to watch that takes a while to load and freezes my browser. This is really helpful Well done CR.
