i like that it shows one week instead the whole month that had very small text. now if i forget a day or two, the calendar will be very helpful for me to get right to the episode

also, it'd be great if it was on the front page of the site so we go straight to it or a link up top that's called calendar so it's always shown no matter what page we're on

The calendar is still in Beta, but once we're able to collect user feedback and iterate on its design, we'll be releasing it to everyone!

I really hope that his is true, because I would have so much use for this calendar.

THIS.

And preferably ahead of time as from past experiences, CR has some tendencies to have trouble getting out final episodes. Recent example is Wish Upon the Pleiades.

It's absolutely true! Look forward to it!

I'll definitely pass that along, but we generally won't have a specific release time if something's delayed (otherwise we'd share it now!). On a completely unrelated note, check out this episode of Shirobako.

More like adding a note to original timeslot showing it was delayed, and when the episode finally comes out, note that it isn't in usual timeslot for that one episode

How about all members who are PAYING for anime since it is an anime calendar.

*shrugs*

I'm on a bog-standard non--plus Premium subscription and I don't see a problem with this.

For one thing, from the moment they announced reshuffling the membership tiers they put "Early Access to Beta Test New Features" as one of the Premium+ benefits. So it's not as if this is unexpected unfair treatment.

And much as I often like being able to early-access test unpolished systems (I'm a tech-geek, it goes with the territory...) sometimes even I want to just sit back and let other people work their way through the most egregious issues with anything new.

And this sort of phased-rollout makes perfect sense. Putting aside the user-feedback aspect, it allows them to test out a new system with real-world users and see the impact of running it in the wild before having it go under a full system load.

I don't think it's unfair treatment. I was just wondering why they would do that since it limits the feedback they get before the official rollout.

Well, that's cool. I still don't get why it should be limited to Premium+ members if you want feedback, though.
The one biggest feature I'd like, though, is integration with google calendar (i.e. put simulcast titles into a calendar).

They think someone is dumb enough to upgrade just to see a calendar with images instead of text.

There's been a topic on that floating around somewhere, let me try my google-fu...

...

...there it is: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-832323/calendar-files-for-episode-releases

I've been using it since GRMrGecko was kind enough to share it and there haven't been any issues to speak of.

I agree

We will all get it once its out of beta, even the free users probably, so it has nothing to do with us not getting something even though we're paying. Also see bolded

No, it just limits the initial test size to a smaller scale, which has some uses, less variables (Membership type, and whatnot)

Could be useful for website watchers (of which I am only rarely one). It doesn't appear to have any relevance for iOS app users (unless I'm missing something). For these latter, notifications would do the trick, if they in fact worked. I've long since used the iOS calendar and Google calendar to make a schedule of my simulcast lineup, and, if an episode doesn't appear, I just check your Twitter feed. So, for myself, it's not something I can see consulting a lot, but who knows?

Have you tried an RSS push notification app (like Boxcar https://itunes.apple.com/app/boxcar-2/id782987891?mt=8 no connection to author, just using it as an example)

It should be able to use the feed here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/crunchyroll/rss/anime
