Is Funimation relying too much on fanservice harems

After seeing thumbnails of anime tiddies & the occational panty/ass shot for their trailers posted their YouTube channel, yeah probably.
They don't seem to care anymore about their dubs now. Its all about the money now.

no, they get the streaming rights to what people demand lol.

Better them get it than CR, since CR has them censored, and Funimation "might" exchange the TV version for the BD version if they happen to get the BD sale rights.

Well, there's a fair bit of it there, to be sure, but they do have quite a few titles with no harems and/or minimal and inconsequential fan service...Arslan Senki comes to mind, as merely one example. However, to judge by the howling on the forums when an episode of High School DxD BorN was delayed and/or 'badly' dubbed, fan service and harem anime seem to be important to much of the fan base and Funimation.

Every site is built for a specific audience, and if that's theirs then it's only smart for them to cater to that audience.

The only thing Funimation needs is more simulcast titles and they will in every way be better than Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll has fallen way behind Funimation in the last 2 years and it's really showing. Especially where it matters a lot to customers in customer service. I am a $4.99 member there and I ask a support question and it gets answered in less than 8 hours. Try that with Crunchyroll and see if you get an answer ever.

Yes. Sex sells after all. You should see all their image caps for their YouTube vids. Pure clickbait.

True, but Crunchyroll used to be so much better in terms of customer service. I guess it's that trapped feeling. As a company grows they care less and less about customer service because what can you do? Stop using the site? Well, no one else has the simulcasts and they know that so they can afford to be terrible and still get money for it.
