I watched the first episode when it came out and it didn't hook me and decided to wait and see what other people thought of it. I was just wondering now if it's worth watching or if I should drop it for good.

Depends on your taste. It has a pretty good payoff if you want to sit through all 12 episodes. Halfway through the series it switches from lewd comedy to something completely different.

I'd watch anything good, it just get me from the get-go and I wanted to get an idea if it was worth or not. I already like the idea of it switching tones, I love when an anime does that. well, thanks a lot. I really appreciate your reply.

Yes, the first few episodes seem silly but they do build the foundation for the rest of the series. Once the story gets going and the mystery begins to unfold about 4-5 episodes in it gets really interesting.

Yes, actually Punchline is surprisingly good overall. In a way it is too bad that it has to be so much about the pantsu seeing gag. It is actually quite interesting in the end, good characters too really.

Punchline is not at all what I expected it to be. What I very nearly dismissed as just a fanservice show ended up being fairly complex and reasonably well written.

Time Travel, Global Conspiracies, End of the World cults, Superheroes, Robots, Mecha and a battle against the US armed forces.

Its a bit random in the beginning, but the second half and ending was pretty good.

I haven't watched the final episode yet, but I'm going to go with the flow here and say "yes". I love non-linear story-telling, which this pretty much is. But like any other series that does the same (We Without Wings, I'm looking at you, which took me over a year to finish), you need to invest more than the stereotypical 3 episode commitment.

The first 6 episode were basically just character introduction and bonding, Once thats all over with the real plot takes the rein after episode 7.

I had the same exact feeling and was about to give up about 3 episodes in then began to realize the characters were growing on me. I'm glad I held out because when the story started taking form it was actually well written. I wouldn't call it a great show but I would call it a very very good one.
