Should prostitution be nationally legalized?
Posted 6/26/15
So yesterday they were giving out phone books old school style in my neighborhood and I picked one up, not realizing it wasn't people but only a business phone book. I still flipped through it, and was surprised to see the number to prostitutes, sex parlors, and escort services given. With picture ads none the less.

It got me thinking. Should we just legalize prostitution? Do like they did in Amsterdam, legalize it and regulate it so it's safer for both the prostitutes and the people hiring them, which is the best way to go about that and other things, such as drugs. Or should we not? Leave it illegal?

Me personally, I say legalize it although I still would never consider partaking in it, but that's not the question.

What do you think? Should we legalize prostitution?

YES it would increase tax revenue for struggling municipalities reduce std rates and help tens of thousands of lonely feel more fulfilled. Only reason its being stopped are the religious lobby.

Yep. I have no problem with prostitution and it will be safer for many prostitutes if they are allowed to do there work legally. Kinda like how porn was in the 70s.

Sure, it's not like criminalizing ever did anything other than forcing into back alleys and shadier parts of cities were the proceeds go toward crime.

No because if women can sleep around with no emotional connection they're probably depressed and should get a normal job instead.

Legalize and regulate. Its not really harming anyone, so theres no reason it should be illegal.

Who are you to question my judgement? Everyone does it, I'm not inclined to agree with it.

I think so. Anyone who is willing to do something strange for a piece of change should be allowed to.

Have to disagree with you on that. I have friend with nearly as many partners as fingers on her right hand, and she is quite happy. Happily unmarried to boot "enough of that shit".

It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.

Yes, but it should be strictly regulated, so that STD's and and drug use doesn't spread. Brothels would work fairly well I think.
