Simplified explanation of why the anime is broken:

The final Yuta that succeeded in saving the world went back to the first Yuta to possess him and sacrifice himself as he instructed the first spirit Yuta on what to do to save the world. That final Yuta cannot exist since the entire success of saving the world depends on him. Like, it's a loop that never starts anywhere. The final Yuta is instructing the first Yuta which will ultimately end up going through the many Yutas until it finally reaches the final Yuta again. So the final Yuta is training himself, which doesn't make sense because he couldn't have just come up with the stuff on his own. I know that the cat exists, but the cat couldn't have pulled the spirit out of the first Yuta and taught him how to go back in time in order to save the world. Think about it. The final Yuta is the one who throws the spirit out of the first Yuta, so the cat doesn't start it. This means that the anime logic is broken and I refuse to accept this ending because it is sad.

I've closed this because we already have a thread discussing the show, and another specifically discussing how it ends. Please share your thoughts in one of those threads:
