Does anyone find`cooking difficult? I don't see whats so hard about it all you need to do is prep and prepare your ingredients and cook them.

Dude you know the cup noodles? Water and 2:30 minutes on microwave? yes I tried that, the sad part is that I didn't put water on it. The whole microwave smelled like burnt popcorn.
Sometimes I got my corn and flakes with milk and in 2 minutes after I prepared it and I did not begin eating it become squishy.

I find cooking super easy, especially with a recipe. I've been cooking since I was 10 and I just made Shepard's Pie on my first try and it tasted delicious.

I find baking hard.

Cooking can be easy, I try to stay away from intermediate recipes. Drenching is a nightmare

I've cooked somewhat. Making fettuccine from scratch is hard. You have to make the pasta, cut it in pasta shape, lay it on a rack of some sort, let it dry, then cook it. All in all takes about 7-8 hours to make it, even more sometimes. That doesn't include if you're making the sauce or not, which is easier. Also have made pizza from scratch before, and that takes forever.

Easiest things I can make-

Pasta bolognese. My favorite meal. You buy some pasta, ideally some rigatoni, penne, or elbows, some meat, or as I do, ground chicken, cook it all up, add it together, and add some sauce, and you have a staple Italian meal.

Rice + anything. I love rice, and rice pasta, and it's easy to make a cup of it, and add some things to give it flavor and taste. I avoid Minute Rice and buy the huge bags, but if you don't have time Minute Rice is fine.

Open faced turkey - Food for a budget. You just need bread, sliced turkey or chicken, and some gravy. You put the sliced stuff on the bread, and add the turkey, and eat it. It's something that I ate a lot when I was poor as a kid, and it's actually a really good meal.

Cooking is easy, I've never cooked anything that actually tastes bad. But I know some people have no sense of what foods go together with others and makes complete shit tasting rubbish.

Well it can be super easy or super hard, but really depends on how much time you got, do you have everything ready?
Ruined resources, and it also very much depends on what you make like rice and pasta is just boiling (making home made paste takes a while when new, but is way cheaper and better in nearly every way, just have some eggs and wheat + color? mix, shape, dry... boil that will save you some money maybe)

I cannot cook at all.

I think it's because I have a problem with micromanaging, so I end up messing up one step, which ruins the whole meal.

Pretty easy. I can cook majority of stuff - my favourites being steak and lasagna. Throw me a cook book in front of me and I'm sure I can make whatever I requested!
