I love those rides for years, its a childhood obsession I can't outgrow. I've traveled far and wide to go to amusement parks to experience the coasters I've heard about in books, tv shows, and the internet. Just this past weekend, I visited Six Flags Great Adventure and got to experience El Toro (one of the tallest and steepest wooden coasters in the world), Nitro, and Kingda Ka (the last one is just insane because its so fast and over 400 feet tall). Last year on my vacation to Japan, I got to visit parks like Fuji Q Highland, home to Fujiyama and Takebisha (you might want to see the youtube video for the later, its just plain crazy), and Nagashima Spaland, which has Steel Dragon 2000, one of the first coasters to hit the 300ft mark and the longest in the world as well as White Cyclone, a beautiful and very big wooden coaster.

Now you might be thinking why do I love these rides? Its a simple answer, I enjoy the adrenaline rush. I love airtime. I enjoy going upside down in more ways than one. I've taken GF's on coasters and I must say, they enjoyed them more than a ride on the ferris wheel. Those rides are the ultimate cure for boredom. Now in addition to the rides I just mentioned, other favorite coasters of mine are The Voyage at Holliday World, The Shivering Timbers at Michigan's Adventure, Apollo's Chariot and Alpengiest, both at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, The Intimidator at Carrowinds, The Cyclone at Coney Island, The Texas Giant at Six Flags Over Texas, The Gold Striker at California's Great America, and The Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk, to name only a few. Which now gives you my question, am I not the only one on CR who loves coasters? And just for fun, which anime character would you like to ride a roller coaster with?

I love the adrenaline of the first drops and the rush it brings. The tallest one I've been on is the Fury and it was fun. It's hilarious to go on a wooden roller coster and get shaken around. When I rode the Fury the first drop scared me half to death, I was scared of heights, going down the drop, when you were looking forward it was at the ground. But after that it didn't scare me anymore, except going under the bridge at the enterance of the park which is terrifying since it was concrete and we were moving 95 mph, it was exciting and not scream inducing. The funny part of all this is that when my friends and I went it was my first time, and from the highway we saw the Intimidator and Fury, I was scared out of my mind and wanted to go back but couldn't. Then when we got there I heard people scream their souls out and I said "Those are the screams of the damned." It was an overall great experience and it got me over my fear of heights, and it was my first date with anyone, so it was fun and now I want to try something more like skydiving to get that same first rush I got.
If you haven't tried a rollercoaster and you think they're unsafe don't worry, eventhough some of the restraints only hold the legs, they are completely safe, if you follow the guidelines.

I love roller coasters! It gives you a relaxing sense of adrenaline.

And this is coming from someone who was almost thrown from one when I was younger.

Nope, I used to love them but around 8 years ago I was at a Six Flags where a girl's was on a rollercoaster and her feet was cut clean off via a stray rope/cord. I vowed never again. NOPE!
