Always glad to hear about more Monogatari episodes, if this really is the ending of the series I look forward to see how it all ends. By the way, has it been said if it will take place after or before Hanamonogatari?

Owarimonogatari is not the end of the series either chronologically or in release order. The book Owarimonogatari Zoku was released after it and Tsugimonogatari is still rumored to be coming out. As for the chronological order... not sure a spoiler tag is needed but just in case.

My real question is what they will do about Koyomimonogatari, the short story volume that came out between Tsukimonogatari and Owarimonogatari. There isn't much time for even a special. They need to do at least one story, otherwise the final volume, second-last and last arcs won't make sense. Perhaps they will just make the last chapter of Koyomi into a single episode of Owari.

Thanks, I really enjoy this series but it keeps getting me when it comes to the chronological order/watch order. Either way, I look forward to the new season in the fall.

So this is what they will be covering so far:

Monogatari series producer Atsuhiro Iwakami stated in an interview posted on the Monogatari anime series' official website that the Owarimonogatari anime's first 12 episodes will cover the first two novel volumes in the series.

The anime will cover the "Ōgi Formula," "Sodachi Riddle," and "Sodachi Lost" chapters from the first novel, as well as the "Shinobu Mail" chapter from the second novel. Iwakami stated that the scenario for the Owarimonogatari novel series' third volume had already been written up, but that the production team was still deliberating on how best to present it, and that they would take a little more time to choose the best possible option for the story. The third novel covers the "Mayo Hell," "Hitagi Rendezvous," and "Ōgi Dark" chapters.

I want the series to never end even though that would probably make it terrible.
