I've moved this over to Site Support/Minor Questions.

Crunchyroll still has Season 1.

As Series5Ranger notes, there's a drop down list of the season 1 episodes below the season 2 episodes on the show page.

It's still there, when they get a subsequent season, they'll only show the latest season per episode. You'll see right below the 2nd season episodes a descriptor For Season 1, click it and the episodes will appear.

Can't start my own topics yet so I'll ask this here:

I watched LH1 years ago and can't remember anyone ever, at any point, even trying to explain how the hell they got into the game world.
Am I right or just recalling it all wrong?

It all just started with "Welp here we go, I'm in this game world..."
Like, not a minute spent explaining anything.
What's this game, since when, why are they there, what's the motivation to even care about any dangerous events since they don't impact the real life??Wtf?

Was everyone playing it on their PC without any VR gear, oldschool keyboard and mouse?

That's not really explained, though some of the flashbacks do make it look like it's not a VR game. But that's not really the point of Log Horizon, which is more about establishing order, building an economy, and improving the morality of a populace through motivation, all as a base before the cool action scenes and trying to "escape the game" if that's even possible.
