Earlier today, my sister was watching a movie about a happy family with an ambitious son wanting to be a hockey player, about 45 minutes later after I had emerged from my room from a glorious game of dod where as my sister was watching a man with a shotgun blasting people's heads off and driving into others. The thing I didn’t notice was that the man blasting a cap on the gang members was the father of the once happy family (death sentence). thinking to myself I wondered why did they have to make a violent movie when they could have made one about the happy family supporting the future hockey player; then it hit me, it would be boring as hell.
I’ll admit it I love violence (those nights playing cs and watching people beat themselves senseless shaped me into what I am) so I ask why do people think that violence is the only way to go and why do we accept it as if we are harden to senseless slaughter and glorified destruction(except for those few select media programs)?

it would seem that my time as civilized citizen has come to an abrupt end .

its the same thing as watching porn, drama's, sci-fi movies. we watch to entertain. we also watch it because its to do what we can't.

this should have been in the E.D section. *sigh* when will you learn?
anyways, violence is awsome, and entertaining..why??
because its against the law. And what ever is off limits makes us want it more. So seeing violence, that we most likely cant see during our everyday life is entertaining...

Its because violence gets adrenaline pumping and stimulates you.
I guess some people won't watch because they consider it to be morally wrong, but I bet they would like if they gave violence a chance.

Because we enjoy to see others suffer when in reality we are suffering much more.

Let me grab a few quotes from the most recent posts in the ED section.

"eww...its like FUCKING urself..........."

"who cares a long as you do it in your own room"

"yeah too many come to america. they need to stay in mexico, but that place sucks."

Three quotes from three threads, all while under the ED wing.

98% of the posts in ED are like the above, as opposed to 99% in General.

So that's why I say they're no different. What about you?

The Violence also stands as a lesson or whatsoever. It depends on your way of thinking. For me, Violence is now a normal type of entertainment in the Human Society.
Even of what it's like (GTA series, yada-yada), It's still Violent and Entertaining. Mostly, those newly Brutal movies or shows that apprehends Violence to it's maximum is really....errr....bad. I can see one reason why; "The lost of Originality". Yep. They're doing it, somehow, for the sake of their show.

It's not that classic, yes. But, meh, Entertainment is really evolving. That's for me, though.

we're attracted to it b/c it's taboo and we're all a bit attracted to what we shouldn't do. violence isn't socially or morally acceptable in general so we watch it on tv (or other mediums).

becuz we have our adreline pumping, some people can have fetthished of violence. other people might find that violence is some form of erotic stuff
