Out of all the Assassin Creed games currently / coming out, what was the best to you?

if your up for it, rank the games according to what you found to be the best AC Game to date and why.

Assassins Creed
Assassins creed II
Assassins creed Brotherhood
Assassins creed Revelations
Assassins creed III
Assassins creed IV: Black Flag
Assassins creed Rogue
Assassins creed Unity
Assassins Creed Syndicate.( coming soon)

If their is another AC game not mentioned above which is your favourite , tell me below why that is your favourite.

My favourite so far has to be AC 2. don't kknow why, just seem like a better game.

I think they have lost quite the assassin in the later titles and yes more out of place.
AC 2 I think was quite fitting in terms of art, design and how it got "upgraded" each period of time.
Hope they take with gang control but have it a bit more like in saint row (where you can use followers inside a area to do some ambush on enemies in your terretory until you have "control" of everything but not control over the people per say)

Hands down AC2. It was the game that AC1 tried to be but ran outta time and money. The second game was the peak of the series and has yet to reach it again. They did a great job recreating the Italian Renaissance Era and tying it into the game lore with Ezio being a great lead character.

AC4 BF was the pirate simulator I never knew I wanted till it came out.

AC 2 definitely. So much content. Great atmosphere. Loved the upgraded mechanics and free running from AC 1.

And those tombs were always fun, had a Legend of Zelda type of feel.

And those truth puzzles were just too great. Really felt like a treasure hunter trying to uncover "The Truth"

The rest after just felt rushed, started to feel like COD like an obligation for one to come out every year. Got tired playing BF even though it was different. I honestly didn't like the pirate aspect. and the sailing.

1. AC 2 - was most definitely the best with an interesting main character that you actually cared about.

2. AC - the mechanics were all fresh and new. Story line wasn't as good as AC2 and got repetitive real fast.

3. AC Black Flag - Amazing breath of fresh air into the series but kept feeling like assassins creed was getting in the way of what could of been a perfectly good pirate game.

4. AC Brotherhood - Building your own assassin network was quite addicting.

Honorable mention to AC Revelations not bad but didn't add anything either just more of the same.

Easily AC III, to be honest, though I'm biased to the setting because it's pretty close to home.

I've been told Black Flag was good, and my brother's played in numerous times, but it came out around the time I just stopped bothering to play console games, so I've only played up to 3. Same with Unity, except instead of being told it was good, it was the exact opposite.

Anyway, I liked 2 the most, storywise, and it's definitely my favourite of the ones I've played, but I liked the mechanics and whatnot that Brotherhood added to the series.

Not a fan of AC. The 2nd was the best, but it still couldn't keep me around to do any of the side content. 25 hours or so to play around in the world and finish the story, but that's still the most time I've spent in any AC game. The world felt so lifeless in the older AC games (pre AC3) and the story was the only thing giving it life, with that completed there was nothing left for me. Meanwhile the newer ones, they, well, the stories just aren't as captivating. The world may be more diverse and prettier, but it's still nothing to hold my attention. Black Flag probably had the best run at it, but still bored me after finishing the story.

It seems Like everyone likes AC 2 and I can see why. The game just had so much content, atmosphere and a compelling story with awesome characters that all tied up to a great memorable game. Getting to know the characters through 3 games really set this game up for success.

I bet people would likes the new games even more if they gave people the chance to actually care for them, instead of throwing them away after one game.

AC2, everything that came after was a slow decline in quality.

ACII then Brotherhood.

ACIII didn't have the best main character....I don't enjoy all the open water in the newer ones. I preferred jumping across old ass beautiful buildings.

I'm in a minority here- I freaking love Revelations to bits. It's the end of Ezio's tale, so it's more of his personal tale rather than a big bad guy to be fought. Constantinople is just gorgeous- Brotherhood's Rome was just too white and green stonewashed for my eyes. I love the Assassin guild mechanic also. The tower defense bits..... not so much- but you were only forced to do that once in the entire game.
