You come here, you learn the language. Speak a hundred languages, I don't care. But English will be the main one in this English speaking, and English-language based country.

Don't want to learn to language? Don't come here.

Just IMAGINE if people immigrating to Germany or France or Russia or Japan or Hong Kong for example refused or didn't bother to learn the language. Holy fuck.

This is a massive sore point with me especially, as an immigrant myself to the USA. I cannot stand when people don't make an effort to learn the ENGLISH LANGUAGE. You don't even have to speak it perfectly or anything, just as long as you know it and make sure to use it instead of insisting that the language be changed. Fuck you!

You don't get any other immigrant to America having their original language spoken in schools catered to them, or only not wanting to learn to speak English or insisting on speaking mainly Spanish everywhere at the rate the Latinos do.

Good luck saying that in a couple of decades when they become the majority. Welcome to multiculturalism, where people can speak whatever the hell they want. I will continue to speak my native language more than English and I will continue to request documents in my native language.

The US isn't like homogeneous countries where it's full of a single group of people who've been living there for centuries. It is a hub of immigrants and many different languages.

Aw fuck, you caught me before I was done typing out everything.

Like I said, this is a hard time globally and though America is struggling with, I can assure you - Europe is having it far worse.

America is built on multiculturalism so it is different - but this is STILL an ENGLISH SPEAKING country. Fucking ridiculous.

Disgusting how you disrespect the us like that. Why don't you go back to your own country if you can't get documents in your own language.

They want more little democrat voters so they fight to keep the borders porous and open. No nation can survive mass uncontrolled immigration.

The Natives didn't, that's for sure....yet on the flip side, we got America.

What'll we get this time?

If this continues we will be like Brazil or mexico with a massive underclass and a few wealthy gated communities.

It's happening already. After that, Canada is up in line. By that time for sure, Europe will have gone to the dogs (it is already half way there!), Asia will still be as completely racist as ever but will have immigration there and Australia will be in their long awaited civil war against the Asians and Muslim immigrants.

Cheers, all. Let's go out with a bang.

The United States is not really an English speaking country - it has no official language, in fact. It just so happens that English is the most heavily spoken language in the US currently.

It wouldn't be a problem or a bone of contention with so many people if the soon-to-be biggest group in America was still one of the lowest performing groups with blacks, especially compared to Indians, Middle Easterners and Asians all of whom have been here far less but have succeeded far more.

If Mexican-Americans were like the three aforementioned groups, there would be far less, if any, problem.

That's interesting. Good for America.
