Totally agree, as a guy....

But what about me? I've long identified as an asshole/rebel.

A "rebel" believes his own rebellious pride, self-image and angry thoughts are more important than the things he's been told to "respect", like school, or employment, or social graces, or hygiene, or making concessions to actual other people.
And girls dream of being the more important thing in his life? Goooooooooooood luck with that. Ya got competition.

LOL. I think you've missed the mark. I was making a joke, bud.

Also, I think that's a terrible depiction of "rebel." Sure, the rebel-without-a-cause types are like that...but if you are rebelling against something that should not exist, I would say that's a good quality.

Anyone who went to see After Earth or Big Momma's House 2? Or Bad Boys II?

(Well, okay, I guess that would be no one...)

Love Will Smith. He's came very far in his acting career.

Martin Lawrence... just seems gimmicky, to me... like Adam Sandler or Chris Farley(wish he was still around). All three are/were admittedly funny as hell. I just have a hard time seeing them as real actors, and see them more as comedians. Think they should stick to the slap-stick stuff. Sandler has done a somewhat tolerable job getting away from that... but mostly for family stuff. Couldn't see him getting into really serious movies.

Simon Pegg is the only actor I can think of that can do both very serious and touching and slap-stick roles.

Not that anyone actually cares.... but, hey, I like to share my thoughts. :D

EDIT: Robin Williams..... that man could do almost anything. Can't believe I let him slip my mind.

I knew a girl from High School way back that dated a "bad boy".... Hes in Prison now...... severing a life sentence for murder. And she is now in therapy trying to cope with everything that's happened. You know the whole you see him blowing the brains out of someone in front of you deal is kinda enough to traumatize someone.

So tread lightly when dating that "bad boy" no matter what you try odds are he WONT change and you might or will only make things worse if you try to change him.

Do you mind me quoting this in the original post?
(i was trying to sort of be neutral(?) about it by not being so descriptive/specific just to match the other thread)

Actually did watch that. He did a tolerable job, better than what I would expect. I do think the screenwriting and directing had a lot to do with the success in that, though.

Not saying anything bad about these men. Just saying, that it's kind of like Michael Jordan playing professional baseball.
