I am environmentally conscious and care about the environment. I could probably do more but I am currently extremely busy and already do some things.

-Recycle
-Compost
-Buy only as much as I can eat
-Re-use containers
-Avoid wasting water
-Always turn everything off when I'm not in the room
-Bring my own reusable bags to the market
-Grow some of my own fruits and veggies
-Minimize use of electricity
-Donate usable items rather than trash them
-Maintain my car for best mileage

Somewhat. I recycle when I can, don't litter, don't waste food. I would also drive a solar powered car if I had that option. However, I do not care enough to watch my water and energy consumption.

Honestly very little, not sure i've ever done something "for the good of the environment" because i don't think about it most of the time.

I walk around with seeds in my pocket and drop them in random spots when I'm walking.

I eat a lot of organic stuff.

I have a plant instead of a dog or kitten.

I don't buy gas from Chevron.

But my car doesn't have a catalytic converter, and I will never buy an electric car.

What do I do to protect the environment? I work.

No, really...I'm an environmental engineer, I work at an engineering firm in their environmental group on federal & privately owned properties helping devise solutions for monitoring and remediating environmental issues. Been involved in cleanups for toluic acid (primarily a remedial excavation, to be honest, hard to deal with it otherwise); gasoline (both leaded & unleaded, dealing with such chemicals as benzene, lead, and MtBE); arsenic; etc.

So, that's what I do.

Sure I care but I'm not chasing any medal or brownie points. I'll recycle and reduce waste when I can. I don't buy eco detergent because I'm allergic to them. I also use disposable kitchen towels because it's healthier for me to do so due to sensitive skin and allergies. I also use other disposable products for the same reason. I don't stick to exclusively organic food products either.

Well I'm aiming for a major in Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology so I'd say I care about the environment a good amount.

I do things like recycling and not littering. Also I have a fascination with nature. I've visited national parks like Yosemite in California and Denali in Alaska. I've done trips to the rainforests of Belize and Peru during vacations to those countries and I'll be going to Costa Rica this winter, so I've done some eco tourism (love the wildlife in those places).. Not to mention visiting the Great Barrier Reef and the Outback on my two trips to Australia. Oh, and in case you ever go to Japan, be sure to take a trip to see the snow monkeys near Nagano.

I really like fishing. Mess with my river and I hope your mother won't blame me if you're at the bottom of it with rocks attached to you.
