Great episode. I don't think it's hard to follow at all, even with the flash-forwards and general wackiness. I am already very curious to hear the stories of some of the other characters already.

Like, what's up with the idol guy? I'm sure we'll find out.

Interesting so far but those time skips are becoming more annoying than effective storytelling. It really undercuts any dramatic tension or pay off when you just skip ahead 7 years to the epilogue of the plot you just barely set up a couple minutes ago.

I mean, there's literally no impact to ghost boy murdering millions of bug people because nothing in between is shown. In fact, nothing is shown at all. It just skips ahead and tells us oh btw you murdered her entire race. We have no investment in Campe ( did she even get more than 2 lines before the timeskip? ) and barely even saw her people. We certainly didn't see anything resembling a friendship between her and ghost boy. So there's no impact or pay off at all to her showing up and going oh, btw, you wiped us out as a species.

It dropped the ball pretty hard on the "show, don't tell" scale this episode.

Not as good as ep. 1 for sure. It felt choppy and missing a lot. Still enjoyable and sad.

I want a transforming mecha-car.

Did anyone noticed they referenced the Gemini Incident from Darker Than Black in the first episode?

Had to rewatch the first ep, as a Mahou Shoujo I couldn't tell she was older (and if she is why is she still a Mahou Shoujo), too much was implied they needed to show her just being a Magical Girl and having a tough time, still interesting concepts, I guess I'll see where they go with this.

The episode was viewed from Fuurouta's POV as he outlives Humans ! Eveything was connected in the Flashbacks and he actually affected history by his actions ! Wasnt the smoothest but I finally got it!

It's not the 18th (or later) yet... Funi claimed a two-week subscriber-exclusive delay on this one...

Still remains one of the best this season.

Wonder what the detective will bring to the table.

i thought the flashforward attemp and editing didnt work well they should have just started with the future of the new character and then the flashback episode.

So far the series seems ok for now.

Apparently, a new original anime titled 'Concrete Revolutio Choujin Gensou' (Concrete Revolutio - Superhero Fantasy). A teaser will be revealed on 7/3. It's a TV series and will air in Fall 2015. Staff includes...

Director: Seiji Mizushima
Script: Shou Aikawa
Studio: Bones

Cast:
Kaito Ishikawa as Jiro Hitoyoshi
Sumire Uesaka as Teruko Hoshino
Aki Toyosaki as Emi Onino

Plot Summary

Tokyo is flooded with countless heroes — chōjin — during the time of "apotheosis." Their origin stories are all different. While some were altered by evil organizations, others cames from space. While some came from magical worlds, others came into being as fairies from ancient times. While some are robots built by scientists, still others are anachronistic robots, out of place and time. But the Japanese government could not simply close its eyes as these superheroes run rampant!!

There is a spelling error with the title of this thread. I think you're missing a "U". Sorry about that, I just have a hard time finding this thread because it's not spelled correctly. Maybe someone can help change it?

Episode 3

So this detective guy is an android, and he has been tasked with investigating a bombing attack. But this is a case that Jiro and company are also tasked with seeing that these androids are still superhumans. As it turns out, they created two androids who are meant to fuse with each other, and the female apparently exploded underwater five years ago, but she was just asleep inside the locker. After five years underwater, she fuses, and now this whole justice talk has really agitated Raito. So they fight, and it looks like it won't continue next week as there's a new case. Well, that was something that I couldn't quite get seeing that Raito looks much different back then, but that whole talk about androids and justice puts a spin on things. Anyway, I don't think I'm up for more of this show.

Episode 3

This episode was pretty good!

This is one of those episodes where you have to pay attention to the dialogue and characters actions in order to understand what is happening...sort of like your good 'ol drama TV show on USA channel, haha. I really enjoyed what the setup was and how the superhuman bureau handled the situation. There was this moment of philosophy about humans and love that I really liked. You know, can machines love like us humans? Stuff like that. Also, I felt there was a bit of a tragedy element with Mieko trying to find her love only for it to be designed for mass destruction, or so it seemed. The flash forward is still confusing, but if you pay attention, then you should be able to tell. Finally, the action at the end was a nice touch and I liked it! This episode had a several elements in it and if this series can do stuff like this, then i'm down to keep watching. I am looking forward to the next episode!
