Did you go to Whistler? Because Whistler is just expensive.

I go to various places in BC at least a few times a year. Americans aren't used to how much tax is added to everything, that's true. But the exchange rate is favorable for us so it usually works out pretty well in the end.

Anyways, Happy Canada Day, northerly neighbors.

Canada should do a "Running of the Moose" event like Spain and bulls to celebrate.

That's just a regular Wednesday up here. We just don't make a big deal out of it.

Where the heck did you go???

Canada has always been a cheap trip unless you are going to a resort town that knows it can soak the suckers I mean nice tourist. shit used to live in a tourist town on the boarder we knew how to get the most out of you travelers easily, and we knew where the locals shopped to get it cheap.

Unless you went one of the few times the rates were flipped which has happen a couple times mostly though the US dollar is 1.15 to a 1.20 against the Canadian dollar. Right now it would be 1.21 since the Canadian dollar is at .79 cents on the US dollar. So you buck goes further Best I had ever seen was a 1.30 to it but that was back in the day so they were at .70 cents to the dollar at the time.

Now granted you by certain things you are going to pay duties on it but that is life this is how we had one of the first floppy drives for the Commodore 64 in Washington state back in the day. We ate the duty because we knew they weren't going to be available local for at least another two months. We still didn't pay as much as you would in the states.

Oh yeah eh happy canuck day you hosers. Have fun with the fireworks don't light any fires at the boarder.

Woo, happy Canada day!

Too bad the weather here wasn't great, so the fireworks were cancelled.
