One thing that annoys me is how some people start freaking out about perfectly legal things. From driving age to drinking, they don't have a clue that there is different rules for people in different states and parts of the world. So what are some laws around you, in your state or town or country that some people will find strange.

It's completely legal to be drunk in public here. It IS illegal to try and make a law against being drunk in public here.

There is no "last call" and it's legal to buy booze 24/7.

You can conceal a pistol in your car without a permit.

It's a crime to taunt the badgers.

OK I made that last one up, but really, don't taunt the badgers if you want to live.

What are some laws from around where you live?

Nope.

I also live in the US. Would you like to gamble and visit one of our ladies or men of ill repute?

A lot of people seem to think it is illegal to pass on the right while driving down a multi-lane highway.
Every state I've been in that is not the case. YOU CAN PASS ON THE RIGHT, except if you are doing it while driving on the shoulder of the road.
I looked it up.
A note; if you are being passed on the right around here generally that means you are driving too slow in the PASSING LANE... In Oregon they are working on legislation that designates the far left lane on the freeway a passing lane (like Washington state) making it illegal to drive in the passing lane not passing anyone.... Like Washington state.... I think they have that sort of thing in California and other places too.

In some states they have made it illegal to pass someone turning left on a two-lane road.

Here you can get a ticket for public intoxication.... Two of my friends got a ticket for it, they called it "drunk walking."

You can conceal a pistol in your car but it has to be unloaded in most of the states I've been in. In some cases it also cannot be in easy reach of the driver.... unless you have a carry permit.

Booze sells, even if it were to be banned you all know damn well it would sell more on the black market once it's illegal.

Here in Florida, it is a second degree misdemeanor to commit "lewd" acts with someone who is unmarried and living in the same residence as you.

Why so specific ? Is it okay if they leave in a different house? Some laws are just, some laws are wrong, and some laws seem just typed by a bunch of monkeys pressing random keys on a computer.

In the US it is illegal to cuss, have a boner in public, fart in public, use Wi-Fi that requires no password and so much more. And while these are rarely enforced, they still happen every now and then.
