^ the point of this article is to remind the American public of the obvious ; a large chunk of the illegal immigrant population have committed crimes in the US and due to America's inability to enforce its laws (not to mention the idea of "Sanctuary cities"), this crime happened.

Too often, the American public gets sold a boat of goods about how all the illegal immigrants only want to make a better life for themselves. Americans are not always aware that many of the criminals we have in our prisons are here illegally. Technically, every illegal immigrant is breaking the law because that's what the word "illegal" means. Stories like these are important as they remind Americans that, just like us, not every person here in the US illegally is a good person. This is why enforcement of our laws and our borders is important.

Ummm correlation is not causation. The connection you proposed wouldn't prove shit.

The point is, you follow the correlations till you uncover the cause. You can check how the human brain works while it's under strain from hot weather. Eventually, you find out all the causes of the mental state that led to murder. Given today's understanding of the brain, it would not be a simple scientific pursuit, but it's certainly fair to pursue it that way.

It's pretty common to see that parroted line about correlation not being causation, but that's just a very basic understanding of things. You're supposed to use correlation data to further research appropriately, not discard it.

No matter what laws are in place. The more people you have, the higher the chance a crime will be committed. Poor woman.

This matters because this illegal criminal has 7 felony conviction in the US, has been deported 5 times and the city of san fran let this scum bag into the streets when the feds requested they hold him until they can transfer custody. The mayor should be put in prison for this or atleast defunded by the federal government because they are breaking the law.

What about this way: If we made him a citizen, we could have kept him in our own jails instead of deporting.

Seems a good argument for freer legalization to me.

He should have just stayed in Jail and or The SFPD should have notified ICE about releasing him. All together its a lot of bad oversight culminating in a tragedy. Lets not try and make a giant statement based off of one incident.

James Holmes was recently convicted of 24 counts of 1st degree murder. I find this case particularly interesting, as it helps us build a profile of the type of people who commit these types of atrocities. We now know at least two signs:
-They're college educated.
-They're white.

I only visit the forums and check my notifications every so often, so there's occasionally a long delay before I read and reply. Sorry about that.

Indeed.

Let's be on the lookout.

Lets keep the ones that are dangerous the fuck out, and be cognizant of potential threats so its harder for them to come here and integrate into our population. I fail to see the humour in mocking reasonable discussion of this due to racist pendejos like trump. If someone comes here to have a better life, thats good and fine but keep the fucking criminal element of mexico out, got enough -Domestic- terrorism here..
