Quite good rap :P
I would say BF got alot of BS for the players (spawn kills/walking etc and much takes the fun and realism out of it)
and CoD for fun.
BF2142 tried to be "orignal" and miss that (just think if they made BF 2143 and was similar to Planetside 2)
I miss large scale battles with 32-64 players.
Also I miss my fun inside FPS games like CoD (killstreaks etc) I liked the killstreaks in MW2 something you wanted to achive etc (would work more fair if it had AI creeps like in titan fall and was balanced in damage/power also the diffuclty)

Bad company was a bit shit though. if i recal they removed prone? and some maps were just terrible.
But i wouldn't say no to BC3.
Just thought of another thing that BF introduced, the knife animations. Pretty cool! and the counter knife, even though they could have done that better.
Iam pretty sure that BF4 is the highest selling BF by FAR! and the closest that they came to matching COD sales?
BF4 is still reasonably populated on PC. Theres always a few full servers. Time zones apply of course, with a game this old.
Well, i think that this video is long over due in this thread, a tad dated but it really is classic and sums it up perfectly ;

Lol I've never seen that before, that rap was awesome.

But no Bad Company was really good. I liked not having prone and I think it would be interesting to see BF3 without it. All prone does is hide snipers who sit on the mountain on Kharg so they can be useless.

And I hated the BF4 knife animation. BF3 had it perfect. If you knife from behind it's a 1 hit kill and if you knife in front it's not. It stops panic knifing. The counter knife in BF4 did nothing but made me rage because if I try to front knife someone who's low health, I get killed because the counter knife is the easiest thing of all time. I don't even know if it's possible to miss the counter.

I did like the dogtags though. They were already in BF of course but in BF3 they became more personal. Dice should add more rare dogtags like how knifes and weapons work in Counterstrike. It would be cool if we could trade them, and they could make the Battlepacks from BF4 give you rare dogtags. They could even start selling Battlepacks like they do in Counterstrike if they wanted and I wouldn't have a problem with that.

BF4 probably did well sells wise, but after release the player population dropped extremely fast. On BF3 for the PS3, there were many full servers 2 years after release. You can still find full servers on BF3 right now. I got on BF4 a while back and it was nearly empty, and it really hasn't been out that long for it to be empty. I heard Hardline on the PC is empty as well now, and the game has barely been out. That's not looking good for the franchise.

MW2 killstreaks were way too good and easy to get. All you had to do was get a 5 killstreak and that basically gets you a chopper gunner. The spaz was way too good and the snipers were ridiculously easy to use. Commando knifing was awful. I can't even remember all the awful things that happened in that game. MW2 was a nightmare lol.

ofc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1h9YAyjDLM
But I think with some proper care it could be something amazing!
and yes some where quite OP...
Also Nuke could be hard to achive (using only non leathal killstreaks)
I still think there was quite some fun with MW2 though.
But if you atleast played good.. then you could atleast dealt with the choppers..

If someone called in a chopper than you're screwed. It wouldn't have been so bad if you actually had to earn the killstreak, but 5 kills got you a predator which almost always got you a harrier which always led to a chopper gunner. The chopper gunner was a 5 killstreak.

Well BC2 was particulary bad for spawn deaths and rape. Its alot better in BF4. As far as being killed in your uncap. But of course you can spawn and die if you spawn on a squad mate thats in combat(annoying as i know but sometimes its a poor decision to spwan on someone if they in a bad spot or under fire, plus if you play with freinds they can tell you "dont spawn on me" or you can ask).
It is annoying if you spwan at a flag and die, no doubt.
How is walking unrealistic? lol :P
Shit in BF2 the maps were so big you needed transport to get to them! (most maps)

Yeah 64 players is awesome :)

It was good dont get me wrong but it was shit in alot of ways also, IMO.
Really? no prone??????? well to each their own. So unrealistic if you cant prone, you cant duck/prone to avoid fire and hide from snipers, i love going prone to hide in grass and bushes and creep, it saves my life so many times hiding from snipers and vehicles, say a tank is rolling past or attack chopper over head.
So many times if iam getting shot at i go prone to save my life.

I love the animations, its awesome! BUT i absolutle agree, the counter knife is too easy. I mean if you knife them in the back there is no counter but if you knife them from the front you get countered every time.
They should have made it that the counter needs to be timed perfectly or that you can can prevent the counter with timing or even a button mash battle or something lol
And yeah it was fun in the older games doing the whole knifing stand off, strafing around in circles facing each other lunging forward trying to knie each other.
Gotta admit, in COD knfiing is too easy, like i had knife binded to one of my side mouse buttons ad i remember so many times you and an enemy run into each other in a door way or around a corner and i just tap and they dead instantly.

Yeah i must admit most of my clan stopped playing BF4 very quick and some actually do still play BF3 instead. Mostly the chopper and jet piolts.
A couple still play BC2 also.

Hardline is not battlefield, as far as iam concerned. Pretty much no one in my clan even bothered with it.

And yeah how awesome was that rap battle!

I don't really care about realism so prone being gone wouldn't bother me. And you can still crouch which allows you to duck from fire.

I just wish the front knife animation never existed. I'd rather just slash like when I'm out of ammo and I need to do easy damage. In BF4 it just gets me killed and I get really salty after getting countered. And yea I hate panic knifing in CoD. I rarely use my knife because of my button layout and it gets me killed now when you run into someone at a doorway.

None of my friends play BF4 anymore. I didn't buy it and by the time I got it for free, all my friends went inactive. And that's the problem with the franchise. It's becoming less and less Battlefield with every release. Hardline was just a generic shooter with the Frostbite engine if you ask me. On it's own, it looked alright but as a Battlefield title it's garbage. But it did pretty good sales wise so EA will probably get what they can out of it until the franchise is destroyed.

Ak k fair enough, thats how i read it. You would have hated Bf2 then.
EDIT: just playing, STILL amazes me the lack of team work, the major lack of squad leaders that give orderes and the lack of mics used.
Its all BC2's fault (on the PC version the in game VOIP was broken) its never been like BF2 since. People are just too shy to talk.

I think that's just how gaming has evolved. It's happened across all the games I've played. Even in MMOs, nobody talks anymore.

Its a shame really. I mean you dont want people talking about non game topics(too much) or people who never shut up and trolls and abusers and people who have to announce every kill or rage at every deeath but i would never have ended up in the clan that i joined and experienced clan matches and YEARS of fun and team work and clan matches and making new friends that have lasted years and even crossed over into the real world, etc(if i didn't use in game VOIP)
I guess i am a bit guilty becasue of course if you are playing with your clan or your mates you all use other softwars such as team speak or mumble to talk amoungst yourselves, so alot of the time we are all talking in mumble and not in game.
But having said that if the entire squad is all us then that dose not matter.
But yeah you play with randoms and they either never talk, or they are annoying and possibly trolls or its mates just talking to each other and its off putting so you leave the sqaud cos you might feel that you dont fit in or are not being included, or they are talking as mates rather than just like game related, etc

no, not really When full on the server you would mostly allways have to do something or watchout from enemies (the bad part is some open areas or starting area without transport *all taken*)
I did a few "stealth" take overs as a groupe and its too much fun (working thoughter capturing from their flank and destroying thier defences).

the special squad or what it was DLC had some fun maps.

I just remember in BF2 there were only like 2 or 3 maps(Karkand, sharquie(sp?) amd one other) that were infantry really, or didn't absolutely require vehicles to get from flag to flag.
Yeah true there were some in the dlc's
I will admit, i played in infantry only servers sometimes back in those days, once they had become available.
BF2 was hardcore man, had to drive to the flags on most maps and having the commander dropping artillery on you all the time.
Attack choppers used to RAPE hard also.

I think you talk about the jets ;P (I found it easy to shoot down choppers else I could be a easy target, atleast the car MG's worked on them..)
Artillery sometimes could be awfull (but having squads around and maybe such disabled or longer delay on them would work)

I think they need to go back to historical games like WWII or, preferably Vietnam. Vietnam would be better because, while it still is historical, you still have a variety of weapons, attachments, gadgets, and camouflage.
