What is the best part-time job you've ever had?

Part time for several years, I worked in a bakery (breads/bread items only). To this day, it remains the best job I have ever had.

It was a Jewish family-bakery, run by Jews (of course lol)...and I was the only non-Jewish person working there and one of several non-family members. Anyway, I was often amused by the culture clash in certain things (among the really old family-workers) and picked up some Jewish recipes from my co-workers who shared them with me during break. Everyone was always so pleasant and just friendly to be around that I always enjoyed my hours there.

Not to mention: lunch was provided by the company, the bakery always smelled totally delicious (as did everyone working there...lol), the uniforms were cute, there was always leftover bread some of which was given for free to the employees (the rest was given to the local homeless shelter) and the pay was very good especially for a part time job.

The only downsides was that sometimes you got really hot from standing by the ovens, and the flour that got everywhere was a real pain (especially if it got inside your shoes somehow...ugh). And it sucked when you got accidentally burned from a hot pan or something.

My current job, working in a garden shop. Plants don't talk back to you.
I also used to do computer programming for $10/hr (paid in cash too), but it was a couple months long. I worked on my own and my boss bought me food a lot.

Well my current job is working at a food bar at a theme park. Its incredibely relaxed. Today they had a fireworks at midnight celebration and I had to work til then. They sent me and another guy to work at the la roses there cause they didnt have enough workers. The la roses shut down a bit before the fireworks went off and they gave me and the other guy a pizza. We shared it with the Bumper Car people while we watched the fireworks. All on company time by the way so I got paid for it.

The best part time job I ever had was working at Gamestop years ago back when they first changed their name. I got anime and games at a great discount not to mention I was able to check out games and play them at home. The best part I was getting paid to talk about video games and anime all day.

The best one I've had so far is the one I have now, working at a local radio station as a host/manager. I pretty much just play the music I like in our database, and read stuff to faceless strangers. It's really relaxed, except for live broadcasts which are intense but fun.

And I can get away with Rick Rolling an entire city.....

In the winter you do nothing but get paid to sit around (thanks US government), I was part time so I didn't work winters but the full time guys said they do nothing because there is nothing to do. But normally just park maintenance, changing trashing cans, mowing grass, painting, etc. But I think I love working outside, especially out at the woods. It's easy and you had 8 hours to do a 4 hour job.
