I'm fairly picky but, if I have to, I will shut up and eat what is on the plate in front of me. A high priority of mine no matter what I do is to minimize waste.

I eat a wide variety of stuff, including blood, eyeballs, raw eggs, and raw meat, so it is not that I am squeamish and grossed out. It is usually that I'm just too much of a spoiled food snob to not be particular about how my dishes are prepared. But at least I recognize that and I'm better now than how I was 7 years ago.

I guess being selective about your food is acceptable. But if it causes waste and inconveniences people a lot and causes health problems, then there's a serious issue. Waste is just bad, plain and simple. If your pickiness inconveniences people, learn to cook your own food the way you want it. Health problems speak for themselves.

Some foods I still hate:

Eggplant - The texture is disgusting and there isn't much flavor. It is like eating mucus.

Papaya - Something about the smell and flavor is off-putting.

Raw shellfish - I don't understand why people order oysters to swallow them as quickly as possible. When I have them, I try to savor them and chew them. This usually ends badly. I'm not a fan of bottom-feeders and scavengers in general. They are filthy. I like raw large fish near the top of the food chain.

I'm really picky. I hate vegetables, peanut butter, fruits and really bloody meat. I have been known to force myself to eat peanut butter if I'm really starving. I'm not sorry if my pickiness offends people, either. I eat what I like. If I don't like the food, I won't waste it. I'll just give it to someone else.

Sometimes, I couldn't help but to be picky about something I want to eat. But whenever I see a picky eater, it doesn't really bothers me. If you're picky about food, that's cool.

I am such a picky eater! I've gotten a lot better about it but the food I'm picky about is food that I know I don't like. I try to have a reason. I don't just decide one day I hate tomatoes because they're red or some crazy thing like that lol. For example: I hate bananas so I refuse to eat anything with bananas in it. I can't explain it any other way :/
