Perhaps you need to explore different game genres to see what you are good at and what you enjoy (not always the same thing)? If you are on a tight budget there are a lot of free flash game sites out there that can run on quite old PCs (my main site at the moment is http://armorgames.com/ but there are plenty of others to choose from).

Im somewhat good at fighting games, I love sims 3 but sometimes it gets boring, and Im good at my racing game. Im kinda thinking about getting dead or alive or skyrim but IDK..

If you enjoy fighting games then I would highly recommend Dead or Alive. The game offers a great challenge and a somewhat decent story-line. I would say my favorite thing about the game is that you can't button mash, there is also the great sense of achievement when you beat the later opponents .

i heard the ninja gaiden game is really hard and made by the same people who made dead or alive, is the dead or alive game hard as well???

Ninja Gaiden is definitely difficult; dead or alive (aka: DOA) becomes very difficult as you near the last boss (it forces you to get really, really good with the character you play as). DOA is a great game if you want a challenging/rewarding fighting game, it is also great if you enjoy playing fighting games with other people.

In summary, DOA is a difficult game near the end. The difficulty is also increased since most of the characters have unique movesets (button combination xyz will probably not work on different characters). Though, I believe it teaches you some basics as you play the campaign (it also gives you goals, such as "use this type of attack 5 times). The game also has a training room, where you can select a mode to cycle through all of the attacks (doesn't proceed until you get it correct).

i looked at the DOA gameplay, it looks like a boring game and the characters mouth movements are cheap. i dont think i'll get DOA....im thinking about skyrim

cheats are usually built into the game to help test the levels before release.

Voicing/animation is definitely not top notch. Story is not the best in the world either. Mainly the game has a slightly more complex technique system on its side, which can make it much more fun to play against other people.

No mention of the 'physics' engine? I thought that was the primary draw.
