Well the men are demeaned, but thats not sexist. Reverse sexism doesn't exist remember? thats why its only a bad thing when women are the ones being affected (I can see you didn't smell the massive amount of sarcasm permeating from my original post, maybe you can smell it now)

Lol, sarcasm on the net can be hard to catch sometimes.

4. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? I don't think this one should be on here being that the strongest person in the show is actually a girl... I mean he is trying to catch up to her the whole show constantly having to be saved by her... come on this one needs to be taken down.

I wasn't confortable with this one either, because even if at some times Liliruca, Seal or Hestia are depending on Bell, at other times he's depending on them, or other girls.

So I'll take it out, as well as RWBY and Shirobako, for the same reason.

It's only sexist when men do it.

What about a show like Soul Eater, where both the male and female protagonist are equally dependent upon one another?

How long will it be until we completely milk the shit out of this topic.

This is an extremely interesting concept.

First, let me say that, while I do like it and find it interesting, I also acknowledge that it's not necessarily the best way to gauge sexism. Sometimes the complete exclusion of women can be sexist, or it can be fine. Most of the time, a show with a male protagonist isn't indicative of sexism, however the overwhelming majority of shows with male protagonists can be a symptom. Essentially - I tend to think of sexism as a more systematic issue that's hard to strictly categorize with a set of criteria like this. However, as I said, this still seems like an interesting exercise.

Second, how do we classify shows with one gender cast? Shows that are all-girls or all-guys? I suppose you could look at them as sexist if you think of it as segregation - however, I never tend to look at it like that. And there are wildly different examples - from Battle Girls Time Paradox and Koihime Musou, to Free! and Madoka Magica

Finally, it's hard for me to remember through a whole show if a character was sexually harassed or not (for male or female). So i'm going to put question marks beside shows that I think fulfill the categories, but am not 100% sure due to rule 3. Shows I have asterisked are shows where it depends on how you define "helping" and "depend" in rule 2. Maybe others can chime in and confirm on those shows.

Group A

If Her Flag Breaks
Kokoro Connect
Listen to Me Girls! I'm Your Father
Log Horizon Season 1
Love, Chuunibyou, and Other Delusions (S1 and S2)
Maoyuu
Nisekoi
Outbreak Company
The World God Only Knows (all seasons)
Irregular at Magic High School
Oreimo?
Black Bullet?

EDIT - (Removed Hayate because he was sexually harassed).

Group B

Chihayafuru
Gatchaman Crowds

Gingitsune: Messenger Fox of the Gods *
Love Live! *
Soranowoto *
Bodacious Space Pirates?
Wish Upon the Pleiades? *

I don't think Chi is helping male characters who depend on her. For Polar Bear, I'll trust you

It's in neither category and doesn't count. Same for No Game No Life.

It's weird that this anime fits.

Category A : School Days
- The protagonist of the show is a male
- The male protagonist is helping female characters who depend on him (Granted he wasn't the best at it)
- The male protagonist is never sexually harassed (Had sex with them, but he was never sexually harassed)
