Villains Who Should Have Won

I wanted Loki to get away with it all, because Loki. Take over the world with his sass and charisma.

And Hans Landa. Though he did get away with it...mostly.

Dr. Doom because it's been canonically prove on multiple occasions that him ruling the world would lead to a Utopian society, and that he would protect humanity from all otherworldy threats.

I know very little about comics, so forgive my asking - but utopian for whom, and by what means is it established? Different people have different concepts of utopia, and the ends, for many people, do not justify the means.

I can't think of any villains that should have won.

It really depends on the storyline. It's a concept that's been explored several times throughout Marvel canon. Sometimes it's a totalitarian global society where people have given up many of their liberties for ignorant bliss. Other times it's a lot less Orwellian, and just a plain nice civilization for all humanity.

The only constant these different possible futures hold is that everyone on Earth kneels to Doom.

Not a fate I'd like for the real world, but Marvel's Earth may be better off with Doom in charge.

Nothing I'd call utopian, in that case, but I suppose there could be (much) worse. What generally happens to Marvel's Earth for Doom's conquest to be favourable?

Some kind of apocalypse, global enslavement or some other kind of dystopia. At some point Doom surveyed thousands (or millions... he IS immortal, sorta) of possible futures and has seen first hand what happens if he doesn't conquer Earth. Evidently only he can truly save it, but that's his interpretation--not necessarily a fact.

No prob, I could go on and on about Marvel comics all day, lol.

Sadly I no longer read them though. Marvel's editorial direction these days rubs me the wrong way.

Can't recall specifics offhand, but there have been numerous times, numerous, that the villains were defeated only because the plot made them.

I was rooting for Loki too.

Personally I think Kariya should have one in fate stay night.
