You still seem to be omitting that it isn't just one case with a 17 year old. The conviction was for 37 counts, per the article you linked to, on multiple people.

I read through it again but it don't actually state the ages of those others. On another site, it just says 3 students who were 17. Those counts are obviously against those same people.

I thought some states the legal age for consent is 17?

This is just my opinion though.

So you're saying rape victims have to "man up" and go into the public eye or it's not considered rape? So, as long as she doesn't say "no" that means yes?

Oh, age of consent... I don't know, but if he sent her any lewd pics that'd be child porn and that is all you need to know.

That's the cut ending to Kotonoha no Niwa.

The prosecutor said that just because Fichter is female, and her male students were willing participants, does not make them any less victimized.

I disagree, but when law measures a young person's awareness in the number of times they've circled the sun, this is the result.

Yeah which is dumb, 17 = child pornography, but a few months later when they turn 18 they can do porn.

"If a man came in here today, your honor, and told you that he continually had sex with his teenage female students over a period of years, because it made him feel good about himself, he would be buried under the jail," said the prosecutor.

Which is ironic, considering this is CLEARLY a case of wanting to make sure the people feel that a sense of equality was considered when the sentence was made, only he points out how the case would've been looked upon had the prosecuted been a man.

I'm sorry, but unless we can have a case of any of these kids stepping up to say they legitimately felt violated and not at all consensual, I'm not gonna hear a word of their bullshit.

Doesn't work like that. The fact is, there are more than one victim which points to a kind of approach from the teacher and intentional corruption.

Bearbdah, read the below.. this is a case were the person reports years later. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/top-headteacher-jailed-having-sex-boys-110936491.html#4ehhziE

Again, it is a female teacher.

" 55-year-old's glittering career, which saw her become a national leader in education, came to an abrupt halt in 2012 after her younger victim wrote an email to her school outlining the abuse that he and the second child had suffered 25 years earlier.
Now a father himself, he said he was "sickened" by Lakey's claims that she always put the interests of young people first.
His email led to her suspension as chief executive of the Durham Federation of Schools - but as police began to investigate, Lakey called the victim and tried to persuade him to lie to detectives.
The complainant told the trial at Teeside Crown Court: "The delivery was like A-Level psychology 101. There was the initial 'my poor father, lost my mother' - a trump card to play.
"There was 'my career, my daughter, my husband. I've definitely not had sex with any other children since' was mentioned early on.
"It was laid on thick, emotionally at the start, towards the end there was flattery alongside that."
The victim had described how Lakey, who was a history and RE teacher at the time, took his virginity when he was 13.
He told police that they then repeatedly had sex in her marital bed.
-snip unimportant-
Judge Howard Crowson told Lakey that during her career she had been "an inspirational teacher and leader of schools," but, in the 1980s the judge told her: "You corrupted two boys about half your age. They were naive and immature.

Rules are rules man. It's a slippery slope. Next you'll have people wanting to lower the age of consent.

The only thing I find wrong is that it was a student/teacher relationship. 22 years for 37 charges of that type is way excessive since it seems it was consensual with the almost 18 year old "victims".

Even if you disregard the fact that he was a minor, it's still inappropriate. A teacher/student relationship is a disproportionate power dynamic. The teacher was in a position of authority. Western culture defines that as rape.

That retarded logic. Does't justifies 22 years of jail when the boy 17 years old.

And sorry but unless you or they can prove manipulation was involve.

disproportionate power dynamic.
Is just people trying to make people behave how they they want them to behave and punish them for not living up to their standards.

Edit Sorry but if I want to fuck my teacher. I going to fuck my teacher. Western culture can go to hell.

There's also the count of sexual misconduct with the 8th grader that judge most likely took into consideration not to mention she was sentenced on not just 1 count of sexual misconduct but 37 counts. All taken into consideration 22 years seems an appropriate sentence.

Yeah I read it after I took a glimpse.
Still doesn't justify 22 years. As if those kids are traumatized, give me a break.
This is nothing more than a case of people feeling oblidged to apply some sort of equality, when in reality, we all know that it was perfectly consensual. It's sex, not violent assault or rape.

The prosecutor said that just because Fichter is female, and her male students were willing participants, does not make them any less victimized.

Then what does I wonder?

"If a man came in here today, your honor, and told you that he continually had sex with his teenage female students over a period of years, because it made him feel good about himself, he would be buried under the jail," said the prosecutor.

By the definition of the law a minor cannot consent that's why we have an age of consent being 18. Although some states have it at 16 or 17. If you look at it this way she got 7 months for each count of sexual misconduct with a minor. And 37 counts of anything will add up. In this particular case it adds up to 22 years.

Don't give me that crap dude. Rules can be change or modify. And take context of the situation first. Sorry but age of consent is just a fantasy parents made in order for them to feel better about them self. Kid want to fuck adult. Is going to happen one way or another.

Not sure why I ever bother stepping into serious threads around here. Waste of time and brain cells, honestly.
