Even if I were still eligible for a free trial (I'm not :<), I have exactly $0.00 left in my bank account to spend on these deals.....

....I can't wait until my current employment replaces government welfare as my main source of income :\

After seeing how Amazon abuses it's employees, I can't really support them that much.

I really would like to know what this abuse consists of. So far this has been a pleasant place to work, it is not a place where you can spend the whole shift goofying off. Pays better than Disney P/T work! Some complain it's only P/T work but I have a feeling it going to be hard to keep up the pace for an 8 hour day. As for peak the vets tell me even 18 year olds have trouble so don't volunteer for more shifts than you have to. If I were younger I would love to work second shift 8:30pm-12:30am with a possible volume flex of another hour since it would give the whole day free. To give you an idea of what goes on as far as management. A couple weeks ago I get pulled aside and I am told the connections team wants to talk with me , so the HR lady takes me to a room dials a number gives me the phone. The woman on the phone introduces herself and starts asking questions that lead up to asking ,"How do you rate your supervisor's performance?" This involves asking about them by name. Next day an issue I brought up was addressed at stand-up when the shift began.
So if you are looking for P/T work they are someone to look into, there is even going to be a character day next week if you are into cos-play. Wait a minute we are getting Domino's pizza for pizza day! The bastards!

So you are working at one of the new FULFILLMENT CENTERS in California I take it. Anyway, yeah it's not completely secret that their pick goals are damn near impossible and you haven't worked a xmas rush yet. Safety is a joke, there was a guy killed at a Fullfillment Center, squished flat by a falling forklift. They had people outside trying to hose the blood and matter away with a friggin' hose and no PPE. There are many other issues with some of the older places, mostly in the abuse and use of permatemps.

Yeah, all that stuff is why I refuse to buy from them too, along with most of the people I work with.

Meh, I like using the Prime service. While it's sad the company abuses its workers (and I've actually seen it) it's not my problem and plenty of companies do this. The workers need to do something about it or find a new job. I highly doubt anything will happen though given how large Amazon has become. I may or may not take advantage of this sale. Depends on if I need anything that actually gets a discount. Amazon is useful for me since I don't have a lot of time to drive around getting things. Hell, I only get on CR while I'm at work lol. Thank you multiple monitors!

Going all day!... on a Wednesday. Kinda like how I get emails from Best Buy about "4 hour sale!", oh wait, it started and ended while I was at work. Wish they'd do more stuff like this on weekends, when I actually have the free time for online shopping.

In regards to Amazon's ethics violations...
Never realized this. Just curious, to those who refuse to use Amazon, is there any other viable alternative? The closest I can think of is eBay, which I shy away from, especially after the recent PayPal telemarketing fiasco. I guess walmart.com is pretty close, but Walmart is always one of the first names to come up when people mention poor corporate ethics.
If what y'all are saying about Amazon is true, I certainly would consider switching my online shopping destination if a true alternative exists.
