Now, we have all watched a series at one point in time that really gave us some sort of emotional connection. Ever watch an Anime that really hit close to home?

I mention this show a lot but Uchouten Kazoku (The Eccentric Family) got me a few times. The stupid things that we do for the ones we love, people disappearing out of your life very suddenly, the relationships one has with their siblings, and the knowledge that no matter what happens, life goes on. It's a very sentimental show and it struck a lot of chords with me

Haha of course. Little Slugger kept me from roaming the streets at night as a child.

I'm actually glad you mentioned this, because I've been meaning to watch that. I've been on such a binge with Drama/action anime, that I've been hoping someone would post some sort of slice of life with meaning to it. For me though, Summer Wars really hit close to home. My father is the youngest of 11, who are all married and have kids.....who are also married. Not sure if you have every watched Summer Wars, but the theme behind it is basically no matter what, family is family, even if they do you wrong. It hit a lot of notes for me personally

Studies show, you're actually labeled a heartless bastard if you didn't cry. What a bittersweet ending though

The ending is what did it for me. Didn't cry until that point. I thought it ended perfectly.

Still wish she got to grow up with them. Seriously, the characters in that are just so realistic and believable.

Well, that is the tragedy of the show XD

It's kind of beautiful in its sadness.

Sword Art Online. First ever anime I watched, and since I'm a gamer myself, I just fell in love with it.

Yeah, that's what I love about it though. It's nice watching something heart wrenching. Wolf Children destroyed me at some points too
