Cardcaptor Sakura is one of the best manga drawn by one of my favourite mangaka,CLAMP.You can find almost everything in there;romance, handsome guys, battle between powers, friendship, value of family, humour and lots more.Basically,to me it's like slice of life anime+ action type.

There are 70 episodes with 2 movies.Watch how the little Sakura daringly faced all the challenges as she aims to collect all the cards together with her guardian,Keroberos whose plush toy like appearance is cute.

But you know, there isn't really any bad guys in CCS.Even those you thought are bad are actually nice people.May seem a bit unreal to have everyone in your surroundings to be so nice, but i guess that's to give this series a more relaxing look rather than a darker tone where it is just about battles and looking for the cards.

There are many colourful characters in CCS.You will adore all of them,no doubt.I would like to praise all the seiyuus. The theme songs are great too.I still listen to Tobira Wo Akete after so many years.

In short,CCS is an enjoyable anime. Those who love blood would prefer watching Elfen Lied or Higurashi.Despite the battles, there is VERY little bloodshed.Don't expect to see any arms or legs flying around.

Something I note well in Carcaptor Sakura is the string of complex relationships it has, may be the weirdest and most confusing I've seen thus far.

Take Tomoyo, who's in love with Sakura, who was in love with Yukito, then later Syaoran, who, despite being engaged to Meiling, was also infatuated with Yukito at some point, who has a weird relationship with Touya, who had a relationship with Kaho-sensei, then later the Mirror Card, but is then being chased around by Nakuru Akizuki, who may have something with Eriol, who is probably the only one who can agree with Yamazaki, who seems to have something with Chiharu, a close friend of Naoko and Rika, with Rika having a romantic relationship with Terada-sensei.

There were a lot more things in the polygon, but I forgot.

In any case, Cardcaptor Sakura is a great magical girl anime with a plot that's not too simple and not too complex, a lot of characters who develop well in only 70 episodes, phenomenal voice acting, cheery music and other factors that makes it one of the best, even by today's standards.

What sucks was that crappy American adaptation that pretty much screwed the whole thing over.

I remembered that they somehow edited it to make as if the main character is Syaoran? The dubbed version is trash

Yeah.Cardcaptor Sakura is one of the best magical girl anime/manga out there. The characters are all so loveable and the story simple yet complex at the same time. What can i say?CLAMP is absolute genius. They're also my fav mangaka!!

To be honest,I would say that I prefer the manga more.If you ask me,there are a tad to many fillers in the anime.Perhaps a little to much to my liking. But not all of them are bad though..there are actually one or two fillers which I enjoy. The animation for the anime was pleasing and the music for it was catchy and enjoyable.I still listen to songs like Tobira wo Akete and Platinum. The anime altered the plot a little though..changing the ending.

You forgot the relationship between Sakura's parents. If I remember correctly her mother, Nadeshiko, married at age 16 with her high school teacher, Fujitaka, in a clearly phedofilic perspective of love. Somomi, Tomoyo's mother, dislikes Fujitaka because she feels he "stole" Nadeshiko from her.

By the way, I had to endure the horrybly singed opening song in spanish, as well as the horrible spanish dub. Even so it seems that we Latinamericans where lucky because the version whe saw from the anime wasn't edited.

Hmm. Well, if you preferred blood, too bad. CS is your typical magical girl anime which was made by CLAMP to be aimed at the younger audience. That's why it wasn't so complicated, and it didn't have any bad guys. If you really were a kid, you wouldn't mind about the complex relations and focus in on Sakura.
