Honestly, I've yet to really formulate an opinion of them. They fight governments over censorship issues (and in some place, legitimately like in Iran), organize protests and have even fought terrorist groups like ISIS as well as Scientology via hacking, but they are still internet hackers and oftentimes, their actions have gone rather far (leaving the legality out of the argument, which is something else entirely).

They are an organization with no real line of command and yet still manage to perform effectively without crumbling, but they can't tightly control and direct their actions either (leading to sub-anonymous groups acting on their own).

What is your opinion of them? Do you support Anonymous, are you against them, are you not sure?

I'm pretty sure they have done nothing meaningful in years upon years, but as far as I know they never did anything worth noting in the first place. I also never payed attention to them, just like the people they protested most likely.

I support them. They use hacking, usually seen as something bad, to help others & just go after the shitty ppl. Makes them seem like an anti-hero of some sort.
But you sometimes gotta break the law though.
Theyre cool. Unless ur a shitty person, they're no threat to you.
Apparently they gave out literal KKK members phone numbers once.

Really depends mostly it can be seen as just some lazy assholes, and other times they could try to solve some money problems some where else still leaving behind a mess in a other place..
(I see them doing more hurtfull things then good things, nothing you really should be a part of but if you could get thier help then fine?)

I dig 'em. Most of the time they do what's right when it comes to the issues we face in this society. I'm liberal all the way and it's nice to see some pigs get roasted.

Their recent stunt with KKK was wonderful.

They're just trying to put a statement that the way technology is becoming interlinked with everyday society; eventually they will see and control everything you do.

I'm kidding.

The first thing any hacker group does is come up with a cool name, and then "PH3AR uS!" catchphrase.
And apparently, "Lord Viper Scorpion" was already taken.

(And I DEMAND that Alan Moore and David Lloyd start charging royalties on any idiot who uses a V mask every time he protests something because he thinks "I'm rebellious, like the end of the movie!"
These people made Occupy Wall Street look like the sad mockery it was.)

If I may ask, what is it like being apart of Anonymous? Do you do a lot with them or are you rank and file?
