Since Gatchaman Crowds Insight just started to airing a few days ago, I thought it might be fun to ask if anyone of you are hoping that other Tatsunoko series get rebooted, and if you do, which ones would you like to see get rebooted. We've already got Gatchaman, Casshern, and Yatterman rebooted, so what else would you guys like to see?

I guess I'd like it if Tekkaman got another reboot. There was Tekkaman Blade in the 90s, but I wouldn't mind something new from that franchise.

I know its WAY WAY too early, but a new Karas would be nice. Please Tatsunoko?

Hurricane Polimar would make for a great reboot.

I mean, it would be action/harem and would be titled: "Project Polimar".

As for Tekkaman, they should just reboot the original into a slapstick comedy.

No, man like an ACTUAL comedy.
Seeing how the original Tekkaman is gonna look SUPER goofy for today's standards, why not?

Tekkaman Blade can get a reboot in its own right.

True statement, considering that the first part of old school Tekkaman is actually pretty gruesome.

This. I like Blade (and especially Blade II), but I'm still thoroughly annoyed at its director (Negishi) for wrecking (post-OAV) Tenchi Muyo.

I also like how nobody on CR gives a crap about Tatsunoko but some of us.
Guess Tatsunoko isn't appealing enough for today's anime fan.

Shame because alot of their shows are underrated classics like Karas and Casshern Sins.

Oh.

Hey btw, I wonder why Tatsunoko cares about their 60's, 70's and early 80's but not post-Ippatusman anime from the mid 80's to now?

Probably because the '80s ones were never (to my understanding) nearly as huge as the older ones, and weren't as important in establishing the studio.

Haha truly it's just a discussion between you three XD

And ya, most of Tatsunko's works seem underrated in the west. In Japan, of course they're much more popular. Casshern Sins I believe is one of the greatest animes in modern history, but people get turned off by its unconventional nature. Though, I believe that is its greatest strength is that it's so different and thus, more refreshing and new.

And thank you for bringing my attention to Karas, I'll make sure to check that out, it sounds really interesting. At least according to MAL reviews, the biggest complaint is that its too condensed so a reboot would be nice.

That's why I think its superior to the original.
Plus Casshern looks pretty badass in it.
I think people should understand that it really isn't trying to be an action based show.
There's clearly more to it than that.

The first four episodes are confusing to say the least, but they clear it up the last four episodes later.
But the show is a shining example of 3d mixed with 2d done right!
By God, it looks amazing and its an underrated classic.
You even get 2 movie celebrities including Cree Summer doing the eng dub. How awesome is that??

I think what Tatsunoko should do is promote their "cooler" heroes to let people know that Tatsunoko isn't all just costumed super heroes, that there are regular people who can be just as awesome.

Examples are:
C: The Money of Soul
Shurato(a awesome saint seiya styled anime)
Generator Gawl
The SoulTaker
Nurse Witch Komugi
Muromi-san
Genesis Climber MOSPEADA
Hell, even Robin Hood no Daiboken

But yes, I can't recommend Karas enough.
It's on my favorite anime for a reason along with Casshern Sins.
